My dad has only a few days maybe weeks to live. I'm really struggling with it because I'm afraid I'm going to have guilt when he's gone. i love my dad and we have been close since he found out he was dying 6 months ago, but we've had a really hard past together. My brother hasn't spoken to him in 12 years and doesn't care that he's dying. He was a very distant man who was overly critical of his kids and who stayed relatively uninvoloved with us. I have forgiven him, I don't know if I can forgive myself for so many wasted years.

I have a family problem...actually it's my dad...he have this drinking and smoking problem...it's start to bother me...how? by seeing my dad asked my mom for money that my mom been working harder to earn that alot of money and my dad's totally JOBLESS!!! I'm deaf and 17 years old, in 2 weeks I hope to start my new job because of my mom, she's need some help so I decide to help her by start my new job...and I really want my dad to quit his bad problems! I beg you, and my sisters always in bad mood because of my dad's problems...I want have fun with my sisters but they couldn't used to it...**BTW, my both sisters and I are coming from hearing family meaing my sisters and I were born with deafness.** I couldnt take it ANYMORE!!! please tell me what to do...thanks.

hi going out for a meal in a couple of weeks with my 2 sisters and their husbands ,the thing is my sister always suggests ,well she doesnt she just goes and puts all our meals together and everyone pays all the same the thing is and i dont want to sound mean my husband only ever has one drink while they have 6 or 7 cause he drives us there she will order a half bottle of wine and drink it all , we are abit strapped for cash at the minute as getting a new kitchen if i say can we have separate bills i know she will take it wrong ,am i being a meany ??i cannot afford to keep doing this with the bills so i might not go , what would you do??

she said " u little *****. get off that computer now, and go to your room" im kinda shocked at wat she said but she had no idea that ive looked at stuff on the internet. she took my computer privileges, and house and cell phone from me. that was almost 3 weeks ago...she's still doin it tho.. she put a pass. on our computer and everything. i only get on when shes lets me, and its only for 25 min. I sneak on when i can. Shes not even home now. DO YOU THINK SHE OVERREACTED??? i mean teen guys are pretty much the main culprits for lookin at porn or playin w/ themselves and gettin caught. My boyfriends mom would rather him look at porn then out doing it w/ a gurl. My mom and i already had a kinda strained relationship. but now its like hardly there. she probably thinks im a pervert. ADVICE???

Have any of you moved from and large city to a small town wanted to move back to the city?

The weird thing is: I've wanted to live here ever since I'm been a young kid. I've lived in this small rocky mountain town for two years. Now I'm having thoughts about going back to Texas.

There's basically no women around my age here and just about every other person is a complete drug addict. I'm 26 years old.

This winter, it snowed so much that I basically had to stay here at home every weekend. Back in Texas I could get out at night, more places to go.

I want to like it here and I'm thankful for what I have: But the want isn't working. However, I'm just puzzled what to do.

I have seen many bruises on my daughter. She claims it is from playing "dead arm". I don't think this is true. I know it's not drug use because I drug test her and her brother. I don't think it's a bf, because she does not have one currently. Please help! She is 15.

My husband and me, had an argument with his parents over his dad trying to tell me how to raise our kids, and how to do everything, i told him i thought he was wrong on a lot of the parts like giving the kids(11, 9, 8, 6, 5) a nap everyday, and that they shouldnt be able to dress how they like(which is approved by me before going in public), and that i have to have dinner on the table by 4:30 every night i dont feel he was right, and i asked him where he was while his kids were growing up? (he was driving truck and never home) and his house is so cluttered you can barely walk through it, and he told me my house is a mess, when the only clutter here is hidden, or organized. Now he is DEMANDING an apology from us before he will talk to us again, what are your thoughts on this??? I was polite as i could be with him running me down in front of my kids and my parents. Even my parents dont agree with him !

Someone please help! A girls parents are drug addics, jobless, homeless at the moment and have been trucking on the road for about 2 or 3 months. They cut her down punish her for a very long time for the smallest things, use her like a slave. She has to fold all of her parents cloths and put them away, make dinner, lunch and breathfast for them when ever they ask and clean the entire house even when they have nothing whats so ever to do except sit on the couch and complain about how she don't do anything for them. On top of that her dad smokes crack cocane and pot. Everybody knows but noone will do anything to help her move to her grandmas house. Her grandma can take care of her but they don't want the girls brothers taken away from her parents they don't get treated the same as her. The problem is her grandma thinks that the state would think she (grandma) was to old to take care of the girl who is 17yo. Her aunt and grandpa live with her grandma to. What can she do??!

Okay, I just turned 18 like a month ago so therefore I have no credit or anything like that. I am attending college but I am living at home too. I need to move out of my house becuase Honestly, I cant take it anymore. Should I pay 6,000 dollars more to move into a dorm with another guy? Or should i drop out of college for this year and get a job w/ an apartment. The thing is, is that when my girlfriend graduates from highschool this year, we are going to go out of state for college so i have to wait. So if I dropped out I know for a fact I would go back. But if I drop out will it show on like my record that I'm a college dropout? Ugh...Please help me!! I need out of this house NOW!

He's mentally disabled & living in a group home in Baton Rouge, LA. They treat him poorly, they steal from him, & the staff mentally abuses him. He's 30 yrs. old & wants his independence. They have a 10-minute phone limit, he gets no privacy, he has to eat what they feed him, & he can't go where he wants. They control his money & won't even tell him how much income he receives. He has a right to know since it's HIS money. & they take $400/month for rent, which is understandable, but what do they do with the other $200 that they're not giving him? They treat him like he's in prison. I currently live in Texas, & I would like to take him in. He has a hard time trusting me, since my other sisters & brothers & my parents misused his money & treated him poorly. I'm not like that. I'll pay all the bills & help him get his GED & won't give him restrictions on his money spending, & I won't deprive him of food like they did. They'd take his money & spend it on groceries & wouldn't let him eat.

my mom had an affair when she worked abroad. i discovered this by browsing thru her text messages in her phone (she doesn't usually erase) and thru reading her emails too (she doesn't sign out when she leaves her laptop, so i read her emails too). i don't know if she knows that i know about the guy coz i haven't told her. you see, we've only been close lately so i used to hate her. now that things are going well between us, should i ruin it by telling that i know her secret?

She won't even let me go! He's been one of my good friends for a long time & is such a nice guy. We're just friends, nothing more, & we thought we could just go to homecoming together as friends. I told my mom this, & she was fine with it. Then when I mentioned that he's African American she said I couldn't even go to Homecoming, & that I hurt her pride, & that I make her sick, & she just kept yelling at me saying how dissappointed she is! She's being soooo racist! I don't know what to do, she's not even letting me go to homecoming because I want to go with a black boy, who is very nice & a gentlemen. I don't understand this I feel horrible!

Both of my birth parents were abusive to me, as was my step-mother. Since I have married(and had 2 children) they and my two sisters have become absolutely brutal. To give an example: A few months ago I wrote a beautiful poem about my step-mother and I gave it to her. Then she gave it to her mother with the question "Do you think she actually wrote this??" Her mother, whom I have met twice in my life, replied with "yes, I do think she wrote it but don't be taken it by it because this is probably just another of her games". When I found out about that I just let myself blow. All my life I have held in my feelings. My dad used to tell us that we "didn't have the RIGHT to be mad". I told them all that "I am grown now. And by god I am MAD. You can all go to hell. Stay out of my life and I shall not trespass into yours ever again"

Sorry this is a long one.My mother-in-law passed away 4 years ago. My father-in-law started dating 2 weeks later. He dated several women who really did not care about having his children or grandchild in her life. He did meet one lady about 5 months later. No one had a good feeling about this woman. Come to find out I dated her son when I was a teenager and am still good friends with him and his wife. (They helped take care of my daughter when I was in the hospital for a while before my mohter-in-law passed away). My husband and his sister have not ever gotten along with her. She has changed my father-in-law. They were married a year ago. I never know what to call her because she will never be my mother-in-law. I always say she is the woman my father-in-law married. Does anyone have this going on. Serious answers only please.

The girl is 10 years old, and the perpetrator is her former step-father. Because he was only dad she'd ever known, she continued to go visit him after they got divorced when her younger sister (who is his bio daughter) would visit him. This came out during a counseling session today. I don't know what to do or say, and I would like some input into things to say/not to say or ways that I can help support my friend through this ordeal. Do I say anything to the daughter, I don't want to make her feel like everyone in the world knows about it? I just feel lost and don't want to make things worse.

My inlaws are here and they tend to be extremely rude and condescending. Of course, everything is best the way that they did it. Incessently, they walk around and pick on the way things are - and I kind of feel like - hey, you had your shot - if you really are not busy enough with your own life, why pick on ours? I pray that in retirement, I am not one to spend my free time analyzing my children's existence - do other people go through this?

Ok here is the problem. I live with my father and his life partner. We have 3 cats 2 dogs. They been fighting allot recently. today His life partner got another cat from friend of his. He has been told several times no more pets. Ok i have 2 options
1. go to my fathers work and meet him when he gets off to warn him. This will probably lessen the impact.
2. Do nothing and watch the fireworks when he gets home.

I have an 18 year old sister, but i'm only 11 and she doesnt care about me. ( well she does i guess but she dont show it and dont care too much ) I know she's older and theres a big gap. She always say i wont understand but she doesnt know what i've been through. She will just throw low blow after low blow. I mean aren't sisters suppose to be there to gossip, tell secrets, braid hair or is that just the movies?
