Alcoholism is a disease, and as you see, it causes problems, destroys trust and generally ruins relationships.

You can probably get some help by searching the internet. Alateen and Alanon are both groups for people whose lives are affected by an alcholic, hon.

You can also look up COPING WITH AN ALCOHOLIC.

Your dad is using your mother for money so he can drink. Your mother is ENABLING him to continue drinking by giving him the money to buy his alcohol.... and no one can help your father except him.... HE has to want to quit.

Sometimes people have to be hospitalized in order to quit. If he is a hardened alcoholic, simply quitting might kill him.

It's nice to help your mother, and if you want to help, keep your money -- pay a bill or two. DO NOT give your mother or father money... because it will just end up in your father's hands and be spent on drinking....

that's my best dvice. i'm really sorry to hear you are living in this bad situation.

Since you are deaf, I would suggest you write a letter to your dad. Express to him your sentiments about his being jobless and being an alcoholic. Be sure not to offend him in your letter. Tell him you just wish that he can get a job so he can help your mother earn a living. Give him a hug to show that you care for him in spite of the ordeal you are having right now. Maybe, just maybe, he will be touched by your gesture. People can change and your dad is no exception.
