Hello, remember Anna Nicole Smith, or Princess Diana, its what the media thinks is hot news.

I think that everyone should have equal importance and it is sad that so much is put on, for instance, one movie star.

I thought about this recently when they were honoring princess Diana, 10 yrs since she died.

Well someone lost thier beautiful daughter, wife, mother too that day, probably hundreds, and they are not being nationally honored, what a shame because we all turn back into bones and dust in the end!

For a few reasons. One, your somewhat famous, now or in the past - the more recent or the odder the circumstances the more coverage. Two, wired deaths, like man rip to shreds by thrasher. Three, deaths from a murder or possibly connected to a murder. Four, a tragedy that claims more that one life, fire car crash ext and lastly depending on how slow of a news day it was.

If you are young (the lost potential). Oh look at the shines of candles cause kids all feel their mortality when one of them dies. suckers.
If you are cute (much like young... photogenic counts for ratings).
If you are rich (your death probably affects other peoples livelyhoods).
If you are famous (to let the stalkers know they need new victims).
If you were killed in an interesting way (serial killers or jumping off buildings... the splashier the better).

The media is all about exploiting tragedy for entertainment and people seem to love it. Go figure. We live in a society of trolls.

When you die, the media probably will not get involved. However if you are a famous person then media will definately get involved.

when it is a more bizzare case like 2 year old drowns in pool or 20 year old jumps off of local bridge. they won't report about someone older unless they are famous or have a strange circumstance.
