Family - September 2007

Well I was thinking my dad and I could do this as a prank. My dad has horrible snoring so my mom forces him to sleep in my room sometiems and I sleep in my moms room on the floor with an air bed. I was thinking one weekend I could go to bed and about 15 minutes later have my dad sneak down stairs and start dropping a cup (like a plastic one) on the tile. Naturally if my mom hears something she looks down to where I am to see if its me becse I'm a klutz and very noisey. So then after she wakes up it'd stop and then about 5 minutes later it'd start again, then I would place my life size barbie on the couch having her sit up right or stand her in the middle of the dinning room (once when I was little I had a balloon and I left it right there and my mom came downstairs to get some water and it scared the living daylights out of her) and my mom would see it and be freaked out then my dad would jump out and scare her. What do you think, should we go through with it?. And we'd video tape it.

ok so i live with my mom and dad and they let my bf move in about a yr and a half ago and and everythings great between me and him and everyone, everyone likes him and hes really nice and helps but while my mom was gone to visit her sister ,my brother moved in his high strung girl friend who basically spends all his money and says she is putting it in savings,and wont get a job of her own , and my mom wont kick her out because she lied to my mum and said that her mom was a methhead and threatened to kill her when in reality when my moms at work and they are talking all day on my houses phone ... so i am stuck here because me and my fiance/bf are saving money to get an apartment and she calls me fat tells me im being bitchy . ok so today is my brothers b'day and my family is over and i sat on the couch to visit with my gmaand she kicks me and puts her muddy shoes all over me and says my feet stink when i just got outta the shower like 20 mins ago.continued below Additional Details1 day agoi said i was gonna sit on the other non ***** couch and left i want to hit her and she does all this **** all the time

things at home are getting tougher and tougher(family issues) and i am a college student and it's too hard for me to study at home ! i also have a part time job too and when i come back home libraries are closed so im thinking of moving out for like 2 months until things become better ! is it possible to rent a small place for 2 months ?will u plz give me some information?

I have been hurt emotionally, by my dad, half sister,and a few other family members...I really feel like I should wipe them out of my life by not talking to them or seeing them anymore? Do you think it is right if someone tells you not to do something but then someone in higher authority sort of demands you to do it or tell them to do it? Like I mean, say a friend tells you not to tell your parents that they do or watch something and they want you to promise then your parents ask you about it? Should you tell them or not? Would it be sinning????

I am named after my grandmother on my mother's side ( Juanita) of the family and her cousin ( Valencia) and just know I found out that my grandfather on my dad's side of the family his cousin's name is Juanita and my grandmother also on my dad's side of the family, her cousin's name is Valencia. Strange and both of my parents have the same last name, so my mom, dosen't have a madien name, awkard or just weird, very weird.

I was all excited about going to my first homecoming dance, but now things are starting to change. In junior high I skipped all the dances and now that I was finally going to have a social life my parents were ecstatic. My mom let me buy an exspensive dress and offered to pay for tickets and everything. Homecoming is in a week and now I don't want to go. Some stuff has been going on at school with friends and boys and I just don't think emotionally I could handle being there. (sorry i'm so vague, but the situation is complicated) I can't tell my parents the real reason I don't want to go, we can still return the dress and everything and get the money back. They just don't understand how high school is these days. What excuse can I use to convince them to not make me go to the dance?

My ex and I share joint custody of our son who lives with me 60% and lives with him 40%.The problem is my exhusband brings his fiance to things i feel should be just between the parents of our child(doctors appts.,school meetings with the teachers regarding our son)I have asked nicely for his fiance to stay home and leave these decisions to my ex and I to handle.Well my exhusband refuses to respect my wishes on this.As the mom do i have any legal rights to say where his fiance can and can't go regarding my son?

I come from Argentina, and I´m studying at Canada for 1 full school year. I´ve been here for only 3 weeks but I´ve problems with my host family they´ve busy schedules with their works so they´re no here for a long time with me. Sometimes i feel really lonely and I began to miss my family and friends. I talk with them and the first thing they answered was "Perfect, we´ll ask for your change" I began to cry and they were like really sorry about the answer they talk with me and what they told was "we need to work, and we are making all we can so you can feel confortable" but i feel really sad & mad with them. I´ve also some problems with them cause they don´t trust me at all they have a big lock in their room and they are always like scared. I really feel upset. They´ve another guy from South Arabia but he is all time sleeping or using computer. This is not what I really expect cause if i want this i can move into another house in my own country alone! What am I suposed to do? Urgent help

Ok so my mom put my sister into private school and therefor my mom expects her to try her best and not have any missing assignments..
Well lately she has been rebelling alot and when she doesnt do her work and she lies to my mom she gets spanked.
Well lately if nothing goes well for her then she always asks if i can just kill her and i just tell her no!
My mom doesn't seem to notice and since im the older one she gets most of the attention..So no one really cares about what i have to say....
Well i was wondering what it was i should do to get her to stop thinking that....
Oh and she is 12 yrs old.

My mom has a mental illness and now she doesn't even know who my siblings and me are and won't go get help that she needs and she hides in her closet whenever we go to visit her and tells us she's not our mom. If she ever does and goes get help will the medication bring her back to how she was before all this?

My grandfather who is 84 years old came to visit us from out of state. He went to bed last night at 9 pm and didn't get up until after 2pm today. We kept checking to see if he was breathing and tried to give him breakfast and lunch. He talked nonsense. When he got up he was very disoriented and my husband saw that he was drinking hard alcohol like whiskey or brandy straight from a bottle that was in his suitcase the night before. When he woke up we went out to eat as he demanded it. He almost fell over a few times in the restaurant and we came straight back home after eating and now he is crashed out on the bed. Should we be concerned to call and notify my dad (he deals with him a lot and knows how to handle his drinking habits)? I don't want to take him to a detox center if he isn't that bad, maybe he is just really tired? But I am scared that if we call dad is may start a big fuss but also am torn bcz I dont want to see him seriously ill or die! Please advise me ASAP! I m confused.

Im 26 with 3 kids and one on the way. I'm working full time and my kids father just got laid off. He makes money by selling cds on the street which is not much really. I'm trying to change this by going to school online now, so in two years i'll have a degree. I really can't stand the way things are right now. I haven't done laundry in over a month because of no money. I need things for the baby, things for me. All my money goes to damn bills and rent. We pay for childcare for two kids.That's it. I told him when he was on umemployment to go to a traing school, but he diden't take that seriously. Yes, I have faith things will get better, but in the meantime my man can't support his family the way he's supposed to. What am i supposed to do here? I'm getting frustrated with this now.

we took our boys out today aged 11 and 12, the 11 year started swearing at his brother whilst we was waiting to get served at the shop. I asked him not to do that then he started having a tantrum, we decided to not buy anything in the shop and walked out. He now says he hates us because he couln'nt get his own way, did i do the right thing by walking out the shop? he does have behavour issues but he wont take responsibility when he does wrong and i told him i was not going to listen to him when he is angry with me.

My mom has cancer. My dad is ten years older & unable to care for her. They found an asst. living facility to move to, but they won't get rid of anything. They think they're going to move from a five bedroom home to a 3 room apartment with all their stuff. And it's an unhealthy amount of clutter at that...magazines & coupons going back ten years, old knickknacks of some $$$ value but no function, etc. When I try to help them sell anything they say they are too tired to do all the homework involved and don't trust me to sell it for a good profit. When I try to box things up for goodwill they don't want to give it away. Mom only wants to get rid of Dad's things, Dad only wants to get rid of Mom's things. Now they say today to just leave the house sitting til they die and auction everything off and they don't care about seeing the money after all. How did anyone else get through this phase with their parents?

what i dont understand is a lot of people judge this guy, callin him a fool, animal, mindless idiot etc etc but what people dont understand is the life he had...growing up poor in a ghetto, had no father, mother died, etc etc he had a very traumatic childhood...and any person growing up in that kind of environment wont be no angel, like the people who judge him like that. im not praising mike tyson either, but i have to respect what he accomplished (being heavyweight champion of the world, more than once). people who say bad things about tyson, are no better themselves, and tyson had accomplished much much more than they ever will. i think tyson is simply a product of his childhood, a thug...we shouldnt praise him as a person, but neither should we judge him...what do u think?

Im 19 shes 35 and single, but she doesnt act like my mum, but like my cool sister that I never had, I hang with her a lot, but I abssolutlely hate the attention she receves, due to her wearing tight jeans, miniskirts, showing cleavage etc. My mates are always over down my house, they chat her up, flirt, annoy me like 'your mums hot,'looks like pornstar' and all that, my friends arentnly ones, its men too, like in town when i go somewhere with her I see old and young men checking her out and she enjoys it, but not me i feel uncomfortable about guys thinking about my mum as a 'sex goddess.' Recently shes started dating and I dont want this, I never needed a father before and I dont need one now, its fine when its just me and her, so I will feel really awkward when she starts to bring someone to the house and bedroom and if she settles with a man older or younger than her and maybe even have more kids with him and forgetting about me Or even just being 'humped and dumped and hurt.

three months later he dropped her on our doorstep and said he couldn't handle it.

My boyfriend of 3 years and my 8 year old daughter can't stand to be in the same room together. My boyfriend and I still live seperate. He has bluntly told me that he will not be in the same room as my daughter. He cites her smart attitude. My daughter's father lives in the same town so she's with him every weekend. If indeed, my boyfriend and I go further: moving in, marriage, etc., how will I be able to handle any occurances without getting either one upset. Their fallout stemmed after my daughter yelled at boyfriend and said she hated him. He has never forgotten. Help....any advice.

I don't know why but my dad is really pissed at the moment and he's yelling at me and eveything. Mom went to a confrence. I'm trying to fix a stupid computer problem and he's annoying me and throwing an all out hissy fit. Making me very mad because i already have 5 reports due monday that im trying to get them done while fixing the bug and he's won't stop making me get up and down. I'm so mad im ready to faint and my head already has a migrane.
