Have any of you moved from and large city to a small town wanted to move back to the city?

The weird thing is: I've wanted to live here ever since I'm been a young kid. I've lived in this small rocky mountain town for two years. Now I'm having thoughts about going back to Texas.

There's basically no women around my age here and just about every other person is a complete drug addict. I'm 26 years old.

This winter, it snowed so much that I basically had to stay here at home every weekend. Back in Texas I could get out at night, more places to go.

I want to like it here and I'm thankful for what I have: But the want isn't working. However, I'm just puzzled what to do.

Find something in the middle. You don't have to live in Mayberry, but I'm sure there is a city smaller than San Antonio or Dallas. I live near Los Angeles and I Really want out, but I'm not going to move to the sticks.

Yeah I lived in an apartment above the bar that my parents owned from when I was 4 until I was 6. Then I moved a few miles away and my dad worked on a farm. Then we moved back about 1 1/2 years later. And stayed until I was 10. I don't exactly remember why we moved back.

Maybe you should move back to the big city and have some fun while you're young and still can. This small town thing sounds like something you should journey back to LATER when you're married or settled down more.

Some people are just not cut out for small town living. If you are unhappy, then do what will make you happy.

If it's not working for you, then it's not working. If you have the means to move back, then you should! As they say, this(Life) is not a dress rehearsal! So make the most out of it.

If you've been there two years, you've given the experience ample time. You tried out your dream, but reality wasn't quite what you wanted. So, go ahead and move back.

yep drugs are everywhere even in smal towns and we can't get away from them so are bad people so where ever we are happy we should be unless we can't afford the place or have to live with relatives then that's what we do.

What's keeping you from moving back? You tried it, you don't like it, I say, bring on Texas.

If you don't like it, move back. At least you gave it a try. Many people don't have the guts to do that!
