My brother in law is going through a custody battle with his daughter , he currently has custody of her and is not letting the mom see her . His sister is driving me nuts , She acts like she is the babies mom , she tells people in public that she is her mom , she takes pictures of her , her boyfriend and the baby and puts them everywhere . She even stated to me multiple times that she should have custody of the baby . She even taught the baby to call her mama . and to make the situation worse Im 4 months pregnant and she says all the time " I have the best baby in the world " OR " My baby is beautiful " . Everyone in the family sees what is going on but doesnt say anything and just lets her do what she wants , its gotten to the point where I dont want her to be anywhere near my baby because she is just going to try and make it a competiton or act like she is better than me . Any advice

I lived with my mum until I was 9 and then she tried to put me into foster are, because me and my stepdad argued to the point that one of us had to go. Luckily, I moved in with my Dad. Unluckily he's an alcoholic and his wifes a witch who used to scratch my face and pull my hair. I worked real hard and moved out when I was 17 (19 now).

My problem is, my younger siblings still live with the parents. Luckly my Dad has stopped drinking, but the kids who live with my Mum aren't living as a child should. Our mum drinks a lot and her husbands a nasty man. They're not being encouraged to look after themselves because their parents don't brush their teeth, wash, or take care of themselves. They just sit and smoke weed all day.

They seem to think badly of anyone who has any ambition and don't mind my brothers not attending school. I'm worried they'll grow up to be just like them.

I wanna help but I can't afford to take them in, what should I do?

Yet, he won't let his son (my stepson, I met him when he was 2yo, he is now 8yo) to meet my husband? I don't think this is fair as he has our son (4yo) around his girlfriend every weekend. I asked him if I could take my stepson to a children's birthday party this weekend and he said "of course, just as long as this guy isn't there".

I don't understand. I don't want my stepson to feel as if I forgot about him.

This was the result of an extra-marital affair. I'm the one married. I got the mother to sign some papers, she thought they were for visitation, but they were actually to terminate her parental rights. She was tricked into signing this form. She has recently filed a petition for custody and she now knows she was tricked into signing these papers. How likely is it that she will win custody? I tried to make her look bad in court and was awarded custody. I am afraid that the truth will now come out and myself and my wife will lose this child.

This woman is ready to come to court full barrel and let the judge know what happened a few months back. I already told her that I will not be showing up regardless of if I am served or not. I sent her a nasty email once I found out she was filing this case and now I'm afraid I've shot myself in the a** for doing this. How likely is she to win custody once the courts find out she was tricked into signing that paper and now that she has this email

my grandfather is dying and I find it hard to be around him and people who talk about him dying so I always avoid them and my grandfather when he's this way. I always feel better when I keep busy and do stuff, just to keep my mind occupied. Is that so wrong? I'm just not comfortable with the dying process.

Question Details: I let a friend move into my place and now she has her boyfriend staying here they broke my door to my bedroom of the hinges and they will not stop smoking weed in my house and I have a 2 month old baby, and all the police said was that there is nothing they could do if the girl and her boyfriend don't want them to search there things. I told both of them to get out but before she moved in I wrote up an agreement for her to pay me $600.00 in rent but she only gave me $300 and said she would give me the rest three days later. now I call the cops to get them out and the cops say I have to let them stay and obtain an eviction notice for both of them an give them 30 day because she gave me money. So even though thay say 30 days could my rental office give them a no trespassing notice to make them leave? And yes they know becase the cops has been to my house 7 times in 2 days beacuse of them.

I have been learning more recently since she is in DCS custody. Boyfriend is truck driver and probably won't return here to TN due to this. I decided to put him out of house and work with DCS on this but am having problems mentally and emotionally because I just had his baby 2 mos ago. What and when do I tell her if ever? Sooner or later she'll ask. I am working on my daughters and my relationship and am scared she will still choose her bio dad over me. What should I do besides counseling and working with DCS/State? Financially I don't know if we'll survive and I am so scared. Although I do have great family and a couple of great friends who will be there for me unless I take a Sect. 8 house in another area which would help us as far as financially.

Okay, so here is the situation: My father owns about 16 acres of land. My grandparent's gave this to him because they were right-wing radicals who believed that paying property taxes violated their constitutional rights, and so they didn't pay taxes and almost lost the entire land to the IRS! My father paid the taxes and saved the land, and they signed it over to him, with the provision that they have a 'life time estate', meaning they both have the right to live on that land. Fast forward twenty years later: My grandparents divorced and both moved off the property. They divorced mainly so my grandmother could get her previous husband's social security, which was higher. My grandfather was diagnosed with alzheimers and eventually dies. My grandmother can't live on the property by herself but doesnt want us to sell it either because of memories. He's selling it anyway behind her back and not letting her know. Is this wrong?! She's suicidally depressed and wants to cling to the past!

Are you satisfied with the amount of time you spend with your in-laws? Is it too much, just right or not enough?

Why the natural rivalary between husband and father in law and daughter and mother in law?

How do you handle criticism/comments from in-laws? Why is it that even the slightest comment from an in-law can burn you sometimes?

When holidays come, how do you decide which side of the family to visit?

Is it best to live away from all relatives to avoid the arguing and bickering?

My boyfriend and I are twenty years apart he has no children but played step daddy to three in the 80's.
Two boys and a girl who are all in their twenties and married the daughter became a drug user like the mother and my boy friend would give her money every week knowing what she was using it for. I have a $1500 morgage and wasn't going for it any more it's bad enough we have to pay for them to move evry 6 months because they can't keep a place to live with 2 kids. So when I stopped her money train she would call my house every day harrassing and threatening me so I called the police on her my boy friend played helpless for months but when the police came he called her and told her what was what and tried to convence the police that the house phone is his name and it was okay with him that she would call me all kinds of racial and degrading things because he didn't want the police at the house? Who side is he really on when it's all said and done the cops took my side should he had?

There is a girl whos 22 years old and was put into a rehab for 2 weeks because she kept threatening suicide. Mom and dad are divorced she lives in her dads apt but dad is remarried and lives nearby. At every visit she promises she is sorry ,she wont commit suicide she was doing it for attention. Now 2 weeks later she is discharged from rehab and back in her apt and dad keeps a close eye on her. Question..Should dad have to move back in with her just because that is what she wants or should he stay at home with his wife and continue to monitor her. The girl comes over to the dads house from time to time but there are other kids living there who are afraid of her addictions and dont like to be around her. She calls him all the time for the silliest things and yes she does get along with the stepmom but cant live with them because she cant be trusted. What would you suggest?

its like i cant stop crying

my dad is so selfish and stubborn that its making me miserable. He gets home from work and all he does is play useless video games. While my mom works for 12 hours each day, and she has to cook and buy food cause my dad is too busy playing video games to care.

Now, i dont usually cry. So dont call me a crybaby, the last time ive cried was like 4 years ago (yeah, about when i was 9 or so)

So because my moms miserable, my dads life gets worse and vice versa. And then their health gets worse cuz they both smoke and they usually smoke when theyre stressed are pissed. So then im stressed cause of school and family issues, and friends issues which i wont mention.

Im only 13 (turned 13 yesterday) so no anti depressant pills or therapy sessions and stuff. what should i do... i cant take it. Already broken stuff around the house cause i cant handle the stress. Actin all emo today, sittin in the corner of my room on a laptop writing this...

My grandma is about to die. She is in the hospital. They tried to fix that last time. They being those that said she is okay to die. Me upset at everbody in the room you took everything. She could have lived in another place, she would have been better.

Am I wrong to say she had 200K that financing? Am I wrong to say, maybe if you used the 200K instead of taking it and putting it in your own pocket.

Did they steal it? If that money could have been used to give her 1 more day.

Do I have a right to judge.
