I was in the supermarket the other day and this little boy asked his mum for something off the shelf and she said no. So he kept asking her why, over and over again, then she turned to him and said 'Because why has a curly tail and cannot be answered'! You should of seen his face, he looked so bemused by the answer she gave, it shut him up!!

"You never can tell when you do an act just what the results will be. But with every deed you are sowing a seed, though the harvest you may not see. Each kindly act is an acorn dropped in God's productive soil; you may not know, but the tree shall grow with shelter for those who toil.
You never can tell what thought will do in bringing you hate or love, for thoughts are things and their airy wings are swifter than carrier doves. They follow the law of the universe - Each thing must create its kind, and then speed over the track to bring you back whatever went out from your mind."
Ella Wheeler Wilcox
A 90 year old friend said that to me word for word she remembered it, I found it later in a very old book I own called "Secret Of The Ages" By Robert Collier.

Oscar Wilde once said "I have nothing to declare except my genius" which I have on a t-shirt.
My mother's best saying ever was "Don't you look at me in that tone of voice."
My brother has the habit of avoiding explaining things by saying "because of the pain."
