I asked 3 friends to be my bridesmaids. I figured instead of making my bridesmaids and maid of honor wear a dress they didn't like I chose the color and told them to find a dress. My maid of honor didn't even bother looking. About 2 weeks ago my mom and bridesmaids all went out and picked out a dress. My maid of honor made a stink about because she didn't like the dress. We went to 6 different places and found her a dress that was a different style but the same color as the bridesmaids dresses. She told me she loved the second dress and she was ok with that... then proceeded to tell me she needs the receipt so that she can buy another dress and return this one. We are 3 weeks away from my wedding. I talk to my mom and we decided to take her out of the wedding. This morning I got a call from her mother asking me to reconsider because she is very "fragile" at the moment and she could have a "breakdown" and end up in the hospital if she isnt in the wedding. Am I being selfish or unfair???

have been talking to my guy friend on msn i know from work and have known him for 3 months now and i know he likes me and i like him too, and he told me 2 days ago that he wants me to come over sometime and chill and relax and have fun like watch a movie or something. then the next day i ask him when he wants to chill and hes says he's not sure..cuz he has to see when he is available. i dont get it does he like me not?one day he says one thing and the next is something different. help! advice plz.

I live in the Metro-Detroit area and have a wedding dress I wore 2 years ago that I would like to find a home for. It was worn, but is in great shape. Strapless, white, silk-satin material with a beaded bodice and trumpet style skirt with detachable train. Size 4. I would practically give it away if I knew of someone who had a use for it.

Any suggestions for a place to donate or sell such an item?

so, when I see two girls talking to themselves in a bar I approach them to see if they are open to talking to guys. In a conversation, it's sometimes hard to talk to the one I'm interested in with the friend there. I know girls like to play "matchmaker" so would it be weird if I went up to a 3rd girl in the bar and said , "I like this girl over there but I think her friend might be bored while I'm talking to the one I like; would you mind talking to the friend while I talk to the one I like? Then I would bring the third girl over and introduce her to the girls and resume the conversation with the one I like. Or is it better to talk to the one with the friend listening to what's going on?

I'm a full time-student and he works full time- we have 2 girls, (8 yr. old & a 9 month old) I have no income- other than the $50 he gives me a week to cover my gas etc for school or whatever. 4 Weeks ago- i had $300 left from money i had for school tuition and he was $200 short on the car he wanted- so i gave it to him and he said, "ill pay you back next week"... well that never happened. In the meantime - he claims he keeps bouncing checks and that his checking account is negative- so his checks are going to cover that. So for example. last week he gave me $50- and out of the $50 I had to pay for the daycare while i'm in school- buy diapers and put gas into my car. It's a miracle i made it to class all week w/out running out of gas. So yesterday was payday and when i asked if I could have my money- (i was leaving for my night class and didnt even think the car would make it to the gas station) and he gave me 20 bucks and said , "here thats all i have". I'm not too sure bout what telepathy means... but there's this guy who keeps staring at me all the time. The last year and half my husband has only wanted to have sex when he finally comes to bed 1 or 2 in the morning Or when he wakes up in the middle of the night. Yes its true, some of my peers told me that I'll be single forever because I'm quiet sensitive and snob...I live in a conservative family but I'm open-minded with the current generation. My friends and even some people told me that I'm beautiful and they were always get shocked why I haven't dated anyone and why I don't have any suitors.

My husband and his brother work together. They are the only two boys in the family. And his wife my sister in law and I stay home with our children. We get along, like talking and stuff but I really don't care for her as no one in the family does. But we still treat her like we would want to be treated. You know you always have one in the family that is just goes on about what they have as for money and possestions and I hate that. But anyways, at the boys work they got for the first time a women worker. This is a mans place so this is different. My sister is law said that her husband says theres a hot women there now and just joking around how everyone likes her, haha, but you can tell it bothered her. So I asked all my girls to be in the wedding and they all said yes. They have all been supportive and helpful, but I have one that has disagreed with everything. I have been very upset all month arguing and saying sorry to the others girls for her behavior.
First straw she would not let my have the shower where my mom wanted because she was going to have her wedding reception there(it got called off). That hurt, all the other girls loved it. In my town there is only like 5 places. Ok we will get through this.
Second straw. She sent out nasty e-mails saying this is the final decision. Not one girl was informed about it these plans. Then all the girls were planning the bacherlotte. They decided on something. She wanted a limo that was really expensive when we could do the bacherlotte for cheaper. We decided we wanted to go the winieries but she said I don't like wine I don't wanna go. She has been making everyone in the wedding party really upset.

I am 43, recently married, no children or dependents. I am redrafting a will and since I have only been married a short time most of my $$$ and property will be go to my parents.
The longer I am married, or should we have a child then most of my assets will go to my wife. My wife has been all over me lately about planning for "her" retirement or a career change where she probably would make less money. I love what I do and make multiple six figures annually. Part of her retirement plan is bugging me about my WILL. She wants to see it. I am hesitant to show it to her or let her influence my redrafting. We have been married for 4 months. Any thoughts?

I feel so sad... I keep worrying about my father dying when I turn twenty because right now he is 55 and I'm 12.... I'm so scared... I'm also never allowed to see my big brother (who i just found out about) and he cant go to colledge cuz his step dad ditched him and his mom for a stupid prostitute...

I'm planning my wedding invitations. My finace brought up an interesting question, and I don't know the answer: If people don't RSVP within the time stated on the invite, do we call them and check on the situation, or do we just assume they are not comming?
