my parents are taking me, my sister, and my brother to the bahamas for a week this month for their 20th anniversary and they are renewing their wedding vows. they have had this planned for probably 2 years. i have been dating my boyfriend for a year and half and hes my world. we live together and have never been apart. he is freaking out that im leaving him for a week. he says my parents planned this on purpose so i would leave him when i got back. he is crazy! my parents didnt invite him because 1) it was planned before he was even in the picture and 2) its very expensive. if they took him, they'd have to take my sister's husband and 3 little boys. i try telling him all this and he still complains. this morning we woke up and he told me he had a dream that i came back from the bahamas and got my own apartment and moved out of our house. hes insane, what can i do to make him see hes crazy?!

My husband still has every toy he's ever owned, played with, or bought, iam talking from his infancy until he was too old to have them.

It doesnt matter how broken, how old, how worn, or in how many pieces theyre in, or how many pieces are missing. He will NOTget rid of ANY of them.

Dont get me wrong, these are NOT collectable items, theyre dollar store trinkets, or very VERY broken and used toys. The only thing he has that might have been worth something are some original JI Joes (which are literally missing limbs and clothing) and the star wars toys (which are broken and missing pieces).

Every time we move or clean he comes across another box, he wont get rid of ANYTHING, not even little marbles or the wheels that are broken off match box cars. Our barn, our back room, and his parents attack are all FULL of boxes of his crap.

On top of the toys, he REFUSES to get rid of the clothes he had in highschool. He was still wearing them when we met (he was 25).

Is this normal?

Hey everyone i'm 16 from n.ireland :]
Umm well i'm basically just a very shy person and it's getting me down more and more everyday.
I started college 2 months ago and well I have friends in it it's just i'm not as "talkative" as they are and I have the feeling that they are kind of awkward when talking to me.. and I don't mean to make them feel that way :[
I'm just scared to be myself in case what they will think of me and I mean i'm a nice person, but I'm just worried they will think I'm boring because i'm quiet. :[ So I just hope they like me for me. And I like each one of them for who they are.
This is one of the reasons i've never had a boyfriend but I don't need one to be happy anyways lol... it would just be nice x]
This is one of the reasons I dread going everyday.
Well I would just like some bits of advice on confidence or something and well yeah i'm upset about this now.
Thanks everyone xxx

I will be married 4 years in Dec. My husband travels all over the usa for his job. I just started going with him. When I used to stay at home I got our cell bill and he had used over 300 text messages and all of them to this girl that works with him.
Well, we got into it then when I brought it up and he said that she was just a friend that he talked to.
Well, time went by and that job was over with and he hadn't talk to her in months. Well, now I am here on this job with him and she just showed up here to work also. And now it starts again. They text message each other all the time I looked at his phone and I asked him about it. He got all upset and said they were friends. I know for a fact that she was messing with someones husband before. He goes on to the myspace website and looks at her pic. Not only that our sex life is down hill, like 2 times a month and that is it.
I want my husband back. I miss him. We are fine till she shows up. If I say something he gets all upset?

Married over 20 years, but the last year has been without any sex. I have tried dating her again, flowers, dinner, walks, hand holding, the works. She loves me dearly and I love her but am not ready to put the sexually side of my life away into a box. What can I do to reawaken her sexual side, or should I just be happy with love and look for sex outside with someone else.

Are they too young?

How long do you think they should have been together before marriage?

Should they get there own house first?

All opinions welcome!

I'm in a theatre production with a guy and the flirtation has been very direct from him.Hes very attractive (and without being vain, so am I.)I enquired as to his status and found out that he is married though never refers to her and also has a girlfriend!
I have cooled off my flirtation since I heard this and honestly I am surprised as he is acting 100% like a single guy!
I said to another male actor'have you seen how flirtatious he is with me' and the other actor said 'its ok to flirt with an attractive woman, theres no harm in that'.
Well there is harm in that in my opinion!
I may be attractive and fun but I'm not a toy! Its confusing to get that attention and married men shouldnt behave like that!
What are your thoughts?

I am 25 and VERY happily married. I have a friend of 10 yrs. that I adore. She has been married for about 2.5 yrs. and hasn't been happy since day 1. She moved from a fairly large city where we are from to a town with about 1,500 people. She has a college degree and is working for minimum wage because of the lack of opportunity. She has gained close to 100 pounds since she has lived there which I attribute to being unhappy and her husband said that he will never leave the small town where they live bc that's where is was born and raised. Within a year of being married, she was already talking about divorce. This was a marriage that was rushed and happened before they had the opportunity to really get to know each other. It is the type of relationship where the woman is supposed to be submissive to her husband which is not her. THIS IS NOT AN ABUSIVE REALATIONSHIP. We have talked about this before and she had assured me everything was ok. Do I stay out of it or bring it up again?

Since his teen years our relationship heas been difficult, marked by conflicts. He didn't wasnt to follow my rules and for several times I had to be hard on him. This created resentment that persists today.
He's an engineer, still single, doing great in his life,. But he' s not trustworthy, doesn't listen to me. I don't feel I can trust him. When he says he'll do something he keeps his word, but when I want him to do something I wasnt I'm not sure he'll agree. For several times I told him to act as I wanted and he just said no,

Now, we are going through a family problem and it's important he does as I'll tell him. I also have a daughter and I can trust she'll follow what I say, I'm sure she will. But I can't trust he will. If he agrees to, I know he will, but he may just say I don't agree and I'm almost sure he won't actually agree.

This is not right, I'm his father, he should always do as I tell him and be trustworthy.

I am the type of guy who expresses his feelings whether its compassion or I am mad about something. However, in a recent relationship, it has caused a lot of drama for me.

We "broke up" and she said she hated me but she still emails me back telling me she is doing ok. Why would she do that if she hates me?

seriously i hate my ex wife for the mess she made and the abuse she lowered on me and my children before i finally had enough and kicked her out. now she's totally forgotten us like most narcissists like we don't exist. what is the best way to treat a narcissist? ignore them totally even if i see her around town? should i show no anger and no emotion? they say narcissists thrive on any emotion you give them like i know i hate her but if i show it she'll feel special even for being hated like she's all powerful to get that type of emotion out of me. any therapist care to take a stab at this?

My bf and I were at his mothers home the other day for a bday party for his son from a previous marriage. As we were leaving I overheard his mother ask the ex-wife if her son goes to an all white school? While the little boy was sitting on the steps. I'm black and they are white. I came back to the door so we can leave, then she held up a paper plate whispering to the ex-wife about it some more. While waiting in the car, my boyfriend said that his mother hopes I was not offended by the comment and she was worried. We went back inside and she told me more then I heard in the conversation. She said the black school by her house singled out white kids. The ex-wife she told that to lives 45 min away from her in a nice area of town. We live in Virginia by the way for a job offer my b/f got. She says she not racist, but my bf tolf me when we 1st started dating, he changed my name to sound white for his mom. What do you think of this? I am not going anywhere near his family anymore

I want to know the problem with my husband. Has he totally lost it?

He has recently become exceedingly over-protective, stupidly jealous and very intefering. HE asks me a thousand times the whole bio of my male friends when I go to meet them. He insits on taking me out all the time, even when I don't want to [i mean hey, u can't stay out all day long], he will share everything ... which is ok. But he expects me to do the same. I mean isn't it my wish as to what I share? He keeps calling when I am late, even though I already told him I would be late.

I don't give him any directions, only advices and I don't mind if he doesn't follow them. Coz I believe everyone has their own reasning and independence. I don't query abt his female friends, I don't nag him to be home more often. And I expect the same space, freedom, privacy and the right to make my own decisions.

HE KNEW THESE THINGS BEFORE HE MARRIED ME. SO WHY IS HE ACTING SO STUPID AFTER MARRIAGE. I FEEL SUFFOCATED. ARGH ...
