I have a "friend" who is constantly selling, Pampered Chef, Avon, Tupperware, Arbonne, candles, etc, etc. It's so obnoxious! Anyone else?

She lives in a different state. So it's mostly emails, bombarding me with advertising. She's selling Avon right now, which is fine. I don't buy unless I want something. But it's just annoying all the damn emails.

yeah I hate it too
its like they want to make u feel like u HAVE to buy things just for being friends
why not tell that person exactly how u feel and get rid of them
i have learned not to make anymore compromises regarding friends

Well if they are making money by doing what they are doing I don't see any harm in it. I mean I sell Avon. I don't sell all that other stuff but I don't see how it could be bothering you unless they want you to buy from them all the time. Just tell them you can't afford to buy stuff from them all the time.

If they are your friend then so what. Your not obligated to constantly buy or give parties. Just say straight out. Your not interested in buying and you feel uncomfortable inviting people over to buy stuff for a party.

Buy if you want to, say no if you don't. Evidently she isn't good at selling or she wouldn't be jumping from one to the next. She does this because she doesn't want to have a nine to five job.
