Where do you draw the line?

Is it okay to be with my cousin if she was addopted and has no blood relationship to my family?

No it is not ok.

You guys were raised as cousins and even though there are no blood relations, it will still be incredibly awkward.

Think about if you break up but still have to see each other all the time at family gatherings.

And if you ever have children, their grandparents would also be their aunt and uncle.

Stay away from anyone who is related to you. There are lots of girls out there.

Yikes. Here in Canada you can marry your first cousin even being blood related. Not that I agree with it. I would try looking for someone outside of the family (blood or not). It's just a little too messy when you get involved with someone in the family. Then family members may oppose the relationship and junk. There are lots of interesting and sexy people that aren't in your family.

The law says its prohibited until 3rd degree sanguinity. If the cousin is adopted, it may be morally okay but I'm not sure about the law. I remember having read that even if adopted only, that family member who has lived with the family for a such a period of time is equivalent to blood relation.

See a lawyer to be sure.

All family members are TOO close to have an intimate relationship.

I am adopted - no blood relation to anyone in my family - but they are still my family and I can't even go to the place of imagining having an intimate relationship with any of them. That is just disgusting, gross, sick and wrong.

I draw the line with everyone that's just plain NASTY!!! Now with your adopted cousin I still don't know she was adopted to became part of the family. Is there any reason you must like her? I have family members that aren't related to me but I still see them as family, because we grew up together as family, I just couldn't feel good about that.

Heck, i don't even like my mom, dad, and sisters the two lots of the time. I even wish i substitute into born right into a diverse family contributors.

Medically, cousins have enough genetic variation in them that they are able to procreate without trouble. Any other situtation is up to the two parties involved, and the society they live in...

Hi. OK genetically? Sure. But being a cousin is more like having someone you trust.

Legally No, genetically yes. You will create anger within your entire family and will be "outcasts" for the rest of your lives.
