Hi, any volunteers of a couple who's willing to tell me the story of their marriage proposal, answering a few key questions? I'de like to hear each of ure points of view seperatly, then the story told together as a couple! All will be done by email or chat, whichever you prefer! Need this for an assignment for class, so any volunteers would be greatly appreciated, thanx in advance!

Details: 6 years, 1 dog, shared car lease, apartment lease, bank accounts, debt, credit cards, future plans, past experiences, baggage, he doesn't want a relationship, but wants a friendship, complains we argued too much, and no more intimacy. I've also found out recently he may have been seeing someone casually right before that ended (though that relationship went nowhere).

Situation now: moving out to a room this weekend, I'm keeping the dog and most of the furniture (he gets the big screen TV), we're splitting our debt, and most bank accounts, he gets the car, will be paying for it, and he's paying his 1/2 of the apt 'til end of Jan, when I will either move out or go to Australia to complete my Masters.

-How do I maintain a friendship with him with all my hurt feelings and baggage?
-I've found out stuff about him (and that relationship) that I wouldn't have otherwise known if I hadn't snooped. Should I fess up?
-How do I get through this and become happy again and not mad at him?

I am my BF's first real girlfriend, and we have been together for 2 years. Today, the girl that he gave his virginity up to (3 years ago) texted his phone asking to meet up with him "for old times sake".Their 10 day "relationship" started in high school when she walked up to him one day, sat in his lap, and told him she would have sex with him (she was known as the school sl*t). He had sex with her that day, and 4 days later (without ever once having a conversation with her) told her, "so I won't be coming around anymore". She hooked up with someone else the following week & they haven't spoken since. He told me that he just "wanted to get his virginity out of the way before college", and "didn't care who it was with". STUPID (I know), but what's done is done. He forwarded the voicemail to me and asked me what I wanted to do. My question is: How do we tell this girl off? She KNOWS my BF and I are together. Should he or I call her (what should we say) or ignore her?

She's 37, left high school her senior year, got married two months later, got pregnant that month, and has been a homemaker/mother for 18 years. Her kids are now 17 and 14. She has never worked and has no job skills and limited knowledge of a computer. She takes care of one infant in her home every day for 5 hours and doesn't make much. My concern is that if her husband were to die before she can collect his Social Security, she will be screwed and dependent on family. It is not a life I could ever live but she is happy being in the home. I don't see it as secure. Being a SAHM/housewife is fine IF you have the ability to earn a living should you need to. My mother was a 1970's housewife and abused and I made my own way in the world and lived on my own from age 17-31 before I got married because I never wanted to "have" to stay with someone because of money.

I want her to see how important it is that she get out and get a GED and skills BEFORE she needs it. How???

My fiance lived in his home town an hour away from me. In May he moved in with me. He has friends in his home town and enjoys bowling on a league with them. He works for a bowling alley out there as well, coaching handicapped kids. So he bowls on a league Fri. night and stays at his moms house then goes to work as coach Sat. morning and comes home Sat. afternoon. Usually he and his friends go out for two hours or so after bowling and he texts or calls me. But I am going out of town on Thurs. (second time since we met) to visit a sick relative. He offered to stay home and help with my kids (which he already calls his step kids). He told the bowling alley that he needs Sat. off but is still going to bowl on the league Fri. night. I asked if he could drive home Fri. night to be with my boys (15 & 12) and he doesn't think it is necessary. I asked him what the big deal is, it is only one week. Now he is saying that I don't trust him at all and why is it an issue for me.

is it because i am too old (35) and all the interesting men of right age are already married (or dead)?
is it because i am not at the right places at right times?
my understanding of "interesting" is unrealistic?
all of the above? something else? what is it?
sounding like a typical Brigit JOnes syndrome, i know, but really it does bother me (and some of my friends as well)
just to add some relevant info, i am at least 'slightly' above average in the departments of intelligence and attractiveness

Hi

A girl I work with has a boyfriend who has hit her a couple of times. She is such an amazing and beautiful person, we have got quite close at work and eventually she confided in me. I told her to get out of there straight away but she said its not that simple because they share a flat and bills and all sorts of stuff. He doesnt let her have any friends, she always makes an excuse about why she cant come for drinks on fridays after work, but I know its because of him. She said he doesn't have any friends himself so takes everything out on her. What should I do?

A couple of times I have been very close to getring a couple of the boys together and going round and putting this guy in hospital, but I know it would it only make it worse for her.

Any advice from anyone that has experience with situation is much appreciated

My husband and i are self employed right now, and i take classes online, so i usually sleep in until 10am.. :) But when i wake up before then, my husband gets mad, even angry... like i did something wrong..
I do not understand, if i feel like waking up "early" at 9.. (omgosh) why should it matter...
he likes to watch soccer in the mornings and wakes up to do so..
but this is not fair.. any remarks?

My fiance and I have both already been married once. I want just a small, informal wedding and party afterwards. He wants this big formal wedding. (His guest list is like 400 people). We have fought and argued about this to the point that, I am tempted to just cancel the whole wedding and tell him it is a court house or nothing. Mostly it is finances, we both have kids and bills, plus I am too busy to plan a big wedding and he doesn't want to get involved in that. I am going to college, plus working 60 hours a week, plus raising 2 small children. I don't want to fight with him anymore, but I don't see how he expects us to pull this off.

For example sometimes you don't want to believe in love because you see your best friends boyfriend cheating on her with an other girl that she hates but then she thinks lives sucks and then she tells you that she don't feel valuable in this world.

I can't switch jobs, the money is phenomenal here and I do love my job.

I have a hard time staying 'happy' and 'pleasant' with my on call patients. I get so tired of them wanting to know the gender of their baby when I am trying to find out whats wrong with their baby.

I get tired of them getting mad when the gender isn't what they wanted. I get tired of watching them drug, drink, smoke their baby to death in utero.

I get tired of doing meth addicts tripping out etc.

I work odd hours, I don't sleep well with being on call and up all different times of the night.

I get the next day off after being on call, but that is spent recouping from the previous night.

I plan small trips on weekends, I have mules and spend alot of time with them when I am not working.

What is your advice for burnout, what keeps you motivated? When you see the worst of human nature, how do you go back to the same grime the next day?

Any ideas?
Thanks!

I have my own home in my name my new husband did not have any assets comning into the marraige. I refinanced my house to buy another family car since he would need a car to help pick up kids (from my previous marraige)Within a few months he was using again. 2 months ago he stopped giving me money to help with expenses. I paid for car, registered under his name, and added him to my insurance policy. The agreement was that he would deposit a certain amt of money weekly into my checking to pay all added expenses. I get child support for my children. Well its not easy to have a ready made family overnight he started to use within months of our marraige, the money was less and less until he stopped depositing all together. He was drinking heavily then left just like that up and gone 3 weeks now. Took the car. I did put the title in his name. He is driving around in a car I paid for. My kids and I are devestated he won't talk to me I have tried everything notes on the car.

i just love this design. i have decided to replicate it, slightly modified, for my wedding cake.
wired ribbon on top and some cascading down the side.
instead of roses i was going to use gerberas and a few other smaller flowers (gerberas are my main wedding flower)

and smooth icing not imbelished.

what do you think?

I broke up with her wanting to date other people. After 4 months of this I realized no one is ever going to compare to her. We had so much fun together and I could be myself around her and she loved me for that. I love her so much but we havent talked since a few weeks after the break up and I saw her a couple months ago and she didnt even look at me...What do I do? I know I love her.

He's never met her, yet he answers ?'s and believes this to be a secret admirer. It's his wife and he answers questions personally about his wife to this "online stranger". He has a big professional job w/city government and I ? his intelligence to openly continue. He sends his phone & room # when he's out of town for her to call/visit.
I refuse to talk about this dead deceptive evil deed, nor want anything to do with her (my friend/ex/friend) because of this.
Who do you think is the most evil/twisted--the wife setting up the husband or the husband that is very involved w/writing and answereing/sharing anything the "admirer (who happens to be his wife, unbeknown). He has a military career and I cannot understand how he can be so easy to pull into this arrangement. I think the husband will divorce her when he learns the truth. I think she is wicked/mental/missing major parts in her brain to start the making of divorce-just to see if he'd cheat, yet he is online. No kids & in their 40's.
