for 2 weeks all I did was cry and fall apart, and said this will never get better. than I decided why should I allow him to do that to me. I decided to take my anger out by working out and at the same time I'm getting in shape, and got my hair done and realized I can use this time to focus on college and work and my friends and a guy will come later. I keep telling myself this and realize each day is a little easiar. And why should I give him the gratification of if he sees me as a mess. I want to look good so it sends out an I dont need you to be happy vibe...Is it okay to do this

When my boyfriend and I first got together he told me that he was in it for long-term!! I was super happy!!! But now he says that guys think its bad if they or a friend is with one girl for a long time. We have been together for almost 2 years!!!!! is that a bad thing to guys?? Do guys like long relationships??? Whats so wrong with being with a girl for a long time?????

I'm a Hindu by Religion and My girl is Muslim. We really love each other so much. Even her parents accept me and i'm ready to convert. I do solat, fasting n almost everyting. We want to get married soon but there's 1 problem "MONEY". And she don't want I borrow money to get marry her. I'm still working. Is there any way that we can get married spending not a big amount. So, at least we can be happy together forever. Pls, any good advice:-)

OK..lately my step daughter (she is 8) has been acting strange. She will not respond to her father if he yells at her for somethig she did not do..she just gets into a mood and totally withdraws...when she is tired..she will just stop walking...talking nice doesnt work...yelling doesnt work..and if you need to go somewhere..one of us has to carry her....if we tell her to get dressed, she will procrastinate and not want to do it, or she will say she is cold when she gets out of the shower but not understand that by drying off and getting dressed she wil be warmer faster. Sometimes getting her to school is a struggle (she has to wear a uniform) so she will not talk. and is sulking and when i try to dress her starts wrigling and fighting me because she does not want to get changed. At first I thought she was just being spoiled, but now it seems as if something is wrong. I dont know if its physical mental or some deep issue she is having? has anyone experienced anything like this?

Hi,My dad is a widower of two years.

My siblings are: 22 years old (autistic) and 15 years old (with a history of emotional problems after my mom's death)
My dad asked me yesterday at dinner if I could watch my siblings for three weeks, while he flies down to Brazil to visit his girlfriend of 4 months. He expects to be gone for Christmas.
I told him no. He states, "I am being selfish and controlling his life."
I feel most single parents do not up and leave to go to exotic countries. If anything, they take their children with them for the trip. He states it's too expensive.
His girlfriend has vacation during Christmas because she is a teacher. I asked why she can not come up here. She is single and has a self sufficent 24 year old daughter. She plans to return to the US in 5 months.

And I being irrational about this? Please help.

Hey U Guys I Just Moved To England And I Go To School And All. My Dad Ain't Here Yet But He Gonna Come In Like 1 Month. With My Dog. I've been kind of a blabber mouth about my marriage to my family, which has given them a bad opinion of my husband. I know that it was wrong, and I'm sure at times, I exaggerated. But the base of all the stories was true. Anyway, my dad hasn't spoken to me in 3 months, and my mom and siblings are decent to him. Last night, my husband told me that we shouldn't go to x-mas at my dad's, and he wants me to fix things with the other family members. I'm so lost! I am a thirteen year old girl, and my parents are really over protective... See, my sister made some mistakes in her past, and now my mom lost trust in me as well, even though I didn't do anything.. So my sister's mistakes influenced their trust in me as well (especially my mom's). They won't let me out with friends to the movies, or ANYTHING! They won't even let me go out to the park or something... My B-day is coming up soon (nov.16) and I'm not able to celebrate it out with friends because of NO REASON! How can I earn their trust?... Hello, Im 25 and I am living with my boyfriend of 2 years , i feel like im not living my life, i feel like i live through him. I have been in a abusive marriage before and i just feel right now i never had any freedom.
My life has been really boring.
Yesterday i got offered the
chance to move to the city with a friend ...(right now i live in a trailer with my boyfriend in his dads yard )
im wondering if i should. I would be leaving my boyfriend who loves me and is ready to settle down, he would be so hurt if i left. But on the other hand, i sometimes feel like im missing out on life, like i need to go live! Should i listen to my gut, leave my "comfy" life and go to the city, or just stick it out, get married and get on with life....
so confused, really need some advice...thankyou

I was told, some 20 years ago, that a daghter will never grow taller than her biological father.
I have made it my business to observe this, and have asked many girls..especially the tall ones..the height of their fathers.
Has anyone else noticed this to be the case.?
The only 2 exceptions I found..both girls looked a lot like mother, but nothing like dad.

We've been dating for almost two months. he had been letting me play games on his cell phone, until one day i was reading his text messages. He had been texting another girl, and they were kinda "talking" while we were dating. SO I got her number, and texted her asking what was up, and what was going on...etc. Of course, he was pissed when he found out I went snooping around his phone, but we we're dating, so there shouldn't be anything to hide, right? And now everything on his phone is on private, although I still had all the phone numbers to the girls he talks to. Last night we were argueing, and he wouldn't let me look at his phone, and i told him i thought he was hiding something from me, and he told me "believe what you want". I forgave him for talking to another girl while we were dating, but how should I know he's not doing it again? Why is he so secretive? Is something going on? What should I do? He's mad because I txted those girls...but i shouldn't have 2, he should be honest

How can you tell what someone else's personality is?

What makes a fun/good/boring/bad/etc personality?

To me, a person with a good personality is a person who I feel comfortable being around. They could be quiet, loud, sweet, blunt, whatever. As long as I like to have that person around, then she or he has a what we call a "good personality."

I've been going out with this guy intensely for a month. We see each other about 3 times a week. The last time I went to his place we played a board game and afterwards started to watch a movie. While we're sitting on the couch watching the movie his phone rings. My phone had rang a few times before but I sent the calls to voicemail. He answers his phone and takes the call to another room. I don't think much of it, maybe it was important, but he stays in the other room for like 40 minutes, so I'm wondering who he's talking to and why its so important that its taking away from OUR time.

I go to the room and he's laid across the bed, on the phone, watching TV. He stops talking for a moment, looks at me and says "I'm on the phone", like I can't see that. I say to him I'm cold and I want a blanket. He pulls away from the phone long enough to fetch one for me and then he goes right back.
By now I'm fed up and I go to sleep on the couch. I'm so mad. Why would he act like that?

i'm 20 yrd old and i still live w/ m dad. he's EXTREMELY old fashioned, so the question about moving out never really was an option until marriage. at 20, i still had to ask permission to be able to go out, and had to come back home early. couldn't sleep over @ a friend's house or anything like that.
for a long time i've thought about it but i never really did abything, but recently i stayed over @ a friend's house since she had a party and i wasn't able to drive, and he made this HUGE deal of it to the point were i CAN'T go out at night anymore. he's reasoning for it is since i'm in college my grades have been going from bad to worse and my GPA has gone down, so b/c i can't seem to get my priorities straight until i bring up my GPA to a certain lvl i won't have my going out rights...

i want things to cool off before i make ANY decisions, but i don't want to take the "easy" way out of my problems either...that's why i wanted to know ya'll's opinion. Thank you!

Lately my best friend has been feeling a little on the down side. He is always getting frustrated about things that go wrong. The thing is i have always wanted him to show me his emotions, because i have felt that he used to keep everything to himself, and not be open about it. So now that he is finally opening up, i dont kno what to tell him. I have told him that he needs to relax, and stop worrying about things. I think that the reason why he is acting the way that he is, is because his life isnt going the way that he wanted it to be. How do i help him? How do i tell him that life has its ups and downs, and u may not always get what you want, but that is what life is all about. Life is a struggle. How do i tell him that? Any pointers as to how i can help sooth my friend?
