It actually sounds like his friends are persuding him to be not with you.
Its a bad thing to some guys. Because some guys they might be like really really nice and handsome so everyone is asking him out so that could be a bad thing to some guys. Some guys like long realationships because they might be really liking a girl and they want it to stay that way. But some guys they just hate long relationship because they just want to know the other people of the world or something or they might just be a stickup. Boys are sometimes stick up so they dont want to be with a girl for a long time..... Or they really really really like you and they just have a feeling and just wanna be friends.

Your boyfriend may have been sincere about the long-term when you first got together, but his needs have changed since then. He sounds like he wants to break up.

This isn't a "guy thing." Honestly, it's more of a teenage thing. Teenagers change a lot quicker than adults do, both physically and emotionally, so their relationships change a lot quicker, too.
Also, it's just a personality thing. Some people like long relationships, others like the variety of changing around. It doesn't matter their age or gender.

There is nothing wrong with being in a long term relationship..but when you are young there are so many different temptations that makes it hard especially for a guy to stay in one place. Sometimes it is better to live your life and do the crazy things before you comitt to one person, because if you have done the tempting things, it makes it easier to stay with one person and not stray.

Well, there's plenty of people out there who think that the number of girls you've been with is some kind of testament to your masculinity. Staying with someone for a long time cuts into the numbers game that some guys play with their buddies. It's fairly common for teens and twenty-somethings. Most outgrow it eventually.

Isn't a long term relationship the point? There isn't anything wrong with being with one girl for a long time. If it is the right girl, it is the best. It sounds like either he is just making excuses to break up with you or he is caving to his friends who can't find (and keep) a girlfriend of their own.

At a young age, Its not a real good thing, You need to exp different people and personalities so you know what you like, Once you know what you like its fine. No Prob with setteling down!

If he thinks its bad to be with one person too long he is either not ready for commitment or an ***.I would move on if he doesn't want to stay with you cuase if you don't leave then he might end up cheating on you.

That's because variety is the spice of life and you limit yourself with experiences with other women when your in a looong term relationship.

Your boyfriend either
1. got cold feet
2. was persuaded by his friend(s) that he shouldn't tie himself down with you for all that time
3. is just confused right now and doesn't think you are the right one for him.
