I've been going out with this guy intensely for a month. We see each other about 3 times a week. The last time I went to his place we played a board game and afterwards started to watch a movie. While we're sitting on the couch watching the movie his phone rings. My phone had rang a few times before but I sent the calls to voicemail. He answers his phone and takes the call to another room. I don't think much of it, maybe it was important, but he stays in the other room for like 40 minutes, so I'm wondering who he's talking to and why its so important that its taking away from OUR time.

I go to the room and he's laid across the bed, on the phone, watching TV. He stops talking for a moment, looks at me and says "I'm on the phone", like I can't see that. I say to him I'm cold and I want a blanket. He pulls away from the phone long enough to fetch one for me and then he goes right back.
By now I'm fed up and I go to sleep on the couch. I'm so mad. Why would he act like that?

After overhearing part of the conversation, I gathered that he was talking to another male, but even that bothers me because why is talking to your guy friend more important than spending time with your girl friend?

Wow...That doesn't sound good at all. Not only was he simply being rude by accepting such a long phone call while the two of you were supposed to be spending time alone, but he has the nerve to get an attitude with you when you try to see what is up. My instincts tell me that he was on the phone with another female, but obviously, none of us know that for sure. Whether or not it was a female at all, what he did was uncalled for, and you shouldn't want to be with someone like that. It shows that he has very little respect and consideration for you. If he is doing all of this after only a month, I don't see things getting much better down the line....Sorry.

Honestly he's dumb, if I had my girl over I'd be making out or something... forget people calling me, unless its an interview with an important company... Even then, that would be a valid excuse because that would mean I could get a better job and then I'd be able to take my girl out to nicer places... oh well, hope he lightens up babe. Have a great day!

I would day that was very rude. It could not have been very important if he had the TV on. At least he is consistant not giving people the importance they deserve. An explanation would be nice!

The problem is that you are to readily available. You have put yourself in a compromise position. Why did you go to sleep on the couch and not go home?
