ANYONE, who does not make you feel good about yourself, and brings you down, is not the person for you!
A man should be building up the woman he loves, not belittling then, to the point they feel worthless! This is a form of abuse.

Unfortunately, the English language uses the word "love" to cover so many feelings, emotions and actions. Other languages are more specific about the various aspects and dimensions of this complex concept. Some of what you've experienced or seen isn't really love in the truest, selfless most unconditional sense--which is how it should be between people in a long term relationship.
Give yourself time and try to learn from your past experiences. Know what you want, what kind of characteristics and personality traits that you want in the other person and look for people who match your criteria. Don't just fall for anyone who throws some attention your way. Also, don't internalize the rejection or accept all the blame when a relationship fails unless you know that you truly deserve it. Eventually, you will grow more discerning in your choice of relationship companions and become much better at recognizing the red flags of potential hurt and disappointment.

Love is risk. The greater the risk, the more the reward. A great soul is the most profoundly satisfying attainment in this life.
This explains why so many continue seeking, even after failing so much, amid so many failures.
Don't give up, unless you want to age alone.

you should never place your personal value on another person or their actions . if a person loves you they would never intentionally hurt you. let your friend know that true love with someone that loves you in return doesnt treat you that way and that there is alot better out there and not to lose faith.

When you have received enough pain from the opposite sex you begin to believe that you are not important.
My self worth is not contingent on any damn man and his opinion.

Because we always tend to make it about ourselves.
It rarely is.
Its all about the other person, and in my opinion, cheaters are insecure too.
