I don't know what's going on with all these guys that say they develop an emotional attachment.... They're all a bunch of pussified wimps...
Of coarse a man can have sex without attachments, no feelings at all, except the feeling you have after you've blown your wad in her face/mouth. Pump 'em and dump 'em!!!
To all you wimps out there....

Men are programmed from a very young age to fight emotional attachment - inevitably sometimes it is impossible to do this. Sex is seen everywhere - from television, to music videos, to magazines, and even children cartoons. Most of these messages tell us that as men sex is natural - its more of a game than a commitment. By the time we hit highschool we are told that we should have as much sex as possible and never become attached.
For woman it is the other way around - if a woman sleeps with two men in less than a 6 month period she is considered easy. Woman have more of a chance of having to pay consequences (i.e. pregnancy) than men. As a child they constantly are forbidden to wear clothes that are too sexy.
So can men have sex without attachments - yes, it is the way society programs us. Sex does not mean that feelings are involved. If a man has sex with the same person on several occasions then feelings might develop although they might now. It depends more on the relationship then on the sex. For example, I have had a relationship where we seldom had sex and it hurt like hell when we split up because I knew him more and felt a stronger emotional attachment, likewise I have had a relationship where we had sex alot and when we split up there was no emotions because the need that I had grown accustomed to is physical - physical needs can always be replaced; companionship, passion, intimacy can't.

This question can not be answered in common. Like women, men are different from one another too. So, I will write only my views.
Sex can stand alone without any attachments while most of the times it's a result of an attachment. How do you explain the popular one-night stands else ? Do you think those affairs of a night carry any attachments ? Well, some of them may develop an attachment but it's quite likely that they wont.
While the society and civilisation has advanced and progressed, while there are numerous social laws and restrictions to moderate one's behavior, humanbeings still carry their instincts of the Stone Age. And whether you agree or not, that's how life was supposed to be. Osho - the great thinker, believs that one should not have sex with attachments. Sex is one's basic need like thirst or hunger. However, this does not propogate one to become a pervert. Rest I leave for you to think..

yes. men can do it. it's been proven many times. and, i, as a normal male, can attest to it from my experience. and now that i'm in my late 30's, i can honestly say that i don't like it & i don't do it anymore. if a guy has sex with a girl with no feelings of attachment- then they both will get what they bargained for.
it takes two to tango and if a girl doesn't want to learn she's been used solely for the physical gains - then she must learn to not put herself in those situations anymore. some girls just never learn that lesson and keep repeating the same mistake again and again. and then they wonder what is the problem with guys not sticking around. ladies, don't give it up if there are no substantial feelings invovled - unless you are fully prepared and expecting the consequences. and by the way, i'm encountering more and more women that are just going through men left and right because all they do want is the guy to fill their physical needs. it's not for everybody but some people, regardless of sex, can maintain that behavior for a long time. for me, there are too many risks and this life is too short to simplify the act of love-making to nothing more than a common physical act between two consenting adults. the rewards from that lifestyle are SO few.

It's entirely possible to have sex and no attachment. On a chemical level the feeling women get after sex that makes them feel close to their partner is nullified in men by our testosterone so we're not feeling it like you.

It's very possible for men to do that. Some men can have sex with someone they don't even like. The whole point of sex for most men is an orgasm.

I think it is possible. A lot depends on the circumstances though. If both of you are already good friends then it may progress emotionally with him or you. You should be careful if it is with friends. It can be okay sometimes but usually one out of the two are hoping for more. It could end up costing you a good friendship in the end.
