i just love this design. i have decided to replicate it, slightly modified, for my wedding cake.
wired ribbon on top and some cascading down the side.
instead of roses i was going to use gerberas and a few other smaller flowers (gerberas are my main wedding flower)
and smooth icing not imbelished.
what do you think?

I LOVE it! I love the colors and pearls at the bottom! And the ribbons too! It will be a big hit I'm sure! That will look great in your wedding pics!

I LOVE gerberas too!! The ONLY thing....I have read this and personally witnessed this....gerberas DO NOT hold up well once cut and out of water. I was at a wedding this summer and they used gerberas for the men's boutonnieres and they were wilted by the time the reception rolled around!!
So...you may want to go with silk gerberas OR another real flower that holds up better. I'm not trying to discourage you, just telling you want I have seen AND read about gerbera daisies!

OH... I thought you wanted us to choose from the cakes at that site so I selected several favorites... including the 1st one which you have chosen.
Sometimes the ribbons are made from edible treats that lend themselves to making ribbons rather than having a wired ribbon on the cake, which might be a problem. Since your flowers are gerberas, I think you're right to change the roses to gerbera.... The lily of the valley can be left in the design as I think they'd blend fine with the colorful gerberas. I really like the design you've selected...

This isn't my favorite wedding cake design, but I think the gerberas wil completely give a new and fresh look, and that will be beautiful. I also like your idea of the smooth icing. Good luck!!

I think it would look a lot better with the gerberas, it is a very pretty cake, I love the shape and design but think your flowers will look a bit "funkier". Good choice, hope the big day goes well.

Well, as a former cake decorator, it's a beautiful design! I'm not sure what a gerberas is right off, but I think it would be beautiful! What are your wedding colors?

OMG thats beautiful i love it i want that cake on my wedding day??? i fur going for a white and lavender theme then i would suggest putting lavander down the sides of the aisle

I think its pretty but the flowers could stand to be smaller. They over power the beauty of the cake itself.

I think this cake, as it is, is absolutely gorgeous!! I love everything about it!
I do understand about having it go with the other wedding decor, however. It will be beautiful!!
