It was a horrific event in my life, I would like to find a way to celebrate his life however I am still crushed by the loss. Maybe if I ask others to pray for him and our family, his name was Matthew, I will begin to heal. Life is way more painful than I expected.

Between the following three men, who would you rather date and consider a serious relationship with? Consider each is 25 years old:

Guy A)

Good looking, somewhat smart. Seems to have his head on straight. Drinks a couple times a week. Somewhat aggressive with people. Has a job with benefits and would like to one day start a family. Not completely financially stable but seems to be getting there.

Guy B)

High-school dropout, drinker/smoker/some drugs, done some hard prison time. Really good with women (sweet-talker and romancer). Has a lot of money (sued a couple people and has $100,000+ in the bank). Has been known to cheat on his ex-girlfriends.

Guy C)

Military veteran, college student. Very smart and ambitious. Currently has a junior degree in a high-demand field, and is pursuing a bachelor's and a master's degree. Is bilingual and speaks fluent french. Works out. Very intelligent and will be very successful. Is a computer nerd, yet very trusting and loyal.

At school, I was on a duty taking all different class's attendances. Everytime i walk into a room to give the attendance book to a teacher to mark the class
attendance, the girls look at me. and i wondered why? why did they look at me.

You pursued her but thought it would be best if you did not because she was busy with school, work, etc .but you did not let her know why you were not responding to her calls. Then she stopped calling you.and you thought she would be still be calling and talking to you. Any similar situation

Ok my boyfriend can make time to hang out with his friends and his mom lets him hang out with them! but when I want to hang out with him he is always working and his mom never lets him come over! what should I do?

We have agreed on everything except child support and my portion of his pension. I was told we needed to file a no-fault divorce since we can not agree. Is there any other alternative? Won't this be expensive to go this route?

there is dis fella from work he does my head in all the time constanly wending me up telling me wat 2 do and all. but he helps me alot and teaches me lots of new things

i go on about how much i cant stand him but am i doin this because i like him.

Daughter has been living w/fiance for 1 year, going out
total of 3 years. I've had issues with him lying about certain
things, job, education, etc. But he seems to make her happy
so we have been planning a big wedding for April 08. She sent us an e-mail telling us that she has been wanting to tell us something for awhile now but was afraid of
our reaction. He has 2 daughters, ages 7/8 who he and his
parents have been raising (until he started living w/my daughter
1 yr ago). His parents will continue raising them because of school and friends!!?? 1 girl is biologically his the other is
from same mother but not his who he claimed as his own
because of his love!! Well the mother dumped him and her 2 daughters with him and now only sees them once every 3 months!! The wedding dress is bought, the bridesmaids dresses are bought, deposit on hall ($3,800) and photo.
I want to stop the cash flow now, but my husband doesn't want
to allienate our daughter. What should we do?

Long story short, my husband cheated and then assaulted me when I confronted him. We are now seperated with a protective order...oh did I mention I'm 8 months pregnant. Money is tight and I want out ASAP. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm a 19 years old good looking and tall asian but I haven't had any girlfriend in my life. I don't know what the hell is the problem except that I'm a shy one. I've been patient from like I was 14 or something thinking I'm not old enough but now my close ones like friends and cousins (even my mom!) persuade me to have a gf. I just can't help getting afraid when get close to a girl. Please help! If I continue like this I think I'd be lonely for more like 10 years.

This morning I was driving on base with my husband (we were on a military base in Germany) It's cold out you know Germany it's frickn cold! This baby caught my eye around the age 1-2 years old outside in only a diaper. I made my husband turn the car around and drive back cause the kid was alone. I jumped out of the car, and met up with another girl that was standing watching in aww, like what is going on. A kid by himself not far from traffic, in a diaper. We started walking up to the kid and the mother walked around the corner, she was walking the dog, she just yelled at her kid. What would you do?

over the summer my girlfriend and i went back to being friends because we couldnt spend much time together since we both didnt have cars. this week a co-worker of mine told me that she had another boyfriend so i asked her about it and she admitted to it. she said she's been with him for about a week . i asked her what she likes about him she said he's nice and she likes nice guys. she said he's quiet too. she said he looks okay. but she didnt sound the least bit excited about him. she told me how she called him by her ex-boyfriends name and he got all mad but she didnt care. i asked her if she still has feelings for me she didnt want to answer me. even after telling me all this she was trying to get me to work at her job and she was trying to set up a date with me.i'm confused becuz i dont kno if she's serious about him or if she's just trying to make me jealous or get back at me. after all, last week she told me she thought i had another girlfriend. any ideas of what she's up to

I'll make this as brief as possible. Here are the facts:
We've been married a few years

3 children

My Husband is an alchoholic who is supposed to have quit drinking but numerous occasions he has drank and lied to me about it. Even swearing on my and my childrens lives once that he hadnt been drinking and then days later admitting that he actually had.

He has been physically abusive with me once about a year ago but not ever again since.( i was pregnant at the time)

He is super strict and harsh on the kids, especially the oldest, who's 5. Once he spanked him so hard that his butt was black and blue and welted.

He has lied and been caught on several occasions about things other than drinking (drugs, where he really was, etc..)

I know this sounds simple enough "he is no good leave him. But I do love him..I DONT KNOW WHY and the kids do too.
Dont know what to do. Any advise?? Thanks

Hi there, i have been married for 5 yrs and am now 33..will be 34 in July next year. I want to start a family soon as i will become too old but my husband does not earn a decent wage. His montyly wage just covers our monthly mortgage. Right now we are comfortable, but if i stop working we will not be able to survive...i dont know what to do..pls help.?? yesterday it was only light with scissors but she says shes gunna do it harder with a knife because this boy wont go out with her and already has a girlfriend. she said its because he wants to punish herself for liking him, but near the end of our convo she said she would do it until he stopped dating her. she's not the type of girl to attention seek. i'm really worried!! i would call child line but i lost my phone and i'm not using the home phone!! i just dont know what to do!

Oprah, I have been married for 15 years.He is emotionally, verbally & sometimes physically abusive.I want out but have no means to do this. I live in a small town where everyone knows your business.I am an avid fan of yours & I know you had a hard childhood and you made it, thank goodness!I felt like if anyone could help me or steer me in the right direction it would be you.I know you can't personally answer all emails but I sure hope this is one you can help with.I know there are many other people out there that have problems much worse than mine.Locally, I cannot find any help at all & this is why I have turned to you.If you have any suggestions as to how I can get monetary help please let me know.I am actually afraid for my life but the law cannot do anything unless he does something, & I fear that would be to late other than to bury me.If I could just find out where I could get monetary donations or help I would be forever grateful.He is a controlling type person. Following advice I have received on here, I asked my boyfriend why he wasn't interested in proposing to me yet. I have been excited about him asking me for over a year so i'm getting pretty restless. The answer he gave me was so typical and i'm devastated. He claims he will propose 'some day', and couldn't understand that I was so upset 'just because' he didn't want to propose to me yet. how does this sound to you, because I'm feeling that after this long, marriage isn't part of his plans.

*I want to give more information. I am a stay at home mom with four children. I have not worked full time in 7 years. I do part time consulting once in a while. My husband is a great guy, but he considers his money "his". The credit cards are in both names and they were mostly used for groceries, phone bill, clothes, etc. He tends to treat my $100 a week consulting job as the equivalent of a full time job and thinks I should be able to buy groceries, gas and pay the phone bill with it. It is not possible. When he would not give me money for food, gas, etc I would use the card. Now I am having trouble keeping the payments up and I want to tell him. He has more than enough money in the bank to pay it off. But I love him and I guess I was hoping I could keep trying to pay the payments.....
