Oprah, I have been married for 15 years.He is emotionally, verbally & sometimes physically abusive.I want out but have no means to do this. I live in a small town where everyone knows your business.I am an avid fan of yours & I know you had a hard childhood and you made it, thank goodness!I felt like if anyone could help me or steer me in the right direction it would be you.I know you can't personally answer all emails but I sure hope this is one you can help with.I know there are many other people out there that have problems much worse than mine.Locally, I cannot find any help at all & this is why I have turned to you.If you have any suggestions as to how I can get monetary help please let me know.I am actually afraid for my life but the law cannot do anything unless he does something, & I fear that would be to late other than to bury me.If I could just find out where I could get monetary donations or help I would be forever grateful.He is a controlling type person. Please help.

You need help. Go to a women's center they can help you. If you don't have one in your area, you can talk to a minister they will help you.
Are you really in trouble or just looking for "monetary help"

Contact a women's shelter, in the next biggest city if need be. They can help you be safe.
