Everyone I know is getting married but none of these couples have been together as long as my boyfriend and I. They have all got engaged within the first 2 years of being together and I'm so happy for them but I'm still waiting for my proposal after much longer than this. I know all couples progress at their own pace, but does a longer dating period mean that a man just isn't that passionate about his relationship with you?

So here's the thing i'm 18, my parents have been divorced since i was about 11 my mom cheated on my dad, and then married the guy, then that left my dad heartbroken, and my little sister and i had to watch it, we knew he wasnt exactly happy. He's been dating on and off since then but no one he'd ever tell us about, the only reason we knew is because he'd leave emails open, Well just last year he started dating someone seriously that my aunt and uncle had set him up with and well they've beentogether for almost a year now. We Love her, i was scared to deal with my dad dating someone because of all the drama wiht my mom and her husband. but my dad spends all of his time w/ her and for sweetest day there was a card from her on the tv and then the day after sweetest day we assumed he took her to dinner and a movie but then there was a card and a dvd there and the card was signed "Love ya, Sexy suzie"my sister and i confronted him, he just turned and walked away. What the hell is going on?

Me and my x wife now are done with and have 8 month girl. the thing his that I went out with friends and she went out with her friends and she wass in the same place. I wass having really good time and i didnt talk to her just to not bother her but she just look at me see if I did something stupid but she left me. Here's the thing. A friend very recently found out that her fiance had been cheating on her for half the duration of their courtship.

Even after being confronted with this news, my friend said that she would have preferred not to know a thing about it and would have married him anyway.

So my question to you is; if your significant other had been cheating on you, and you had no idea whatsoever (they were still behaving exactly the same, you thought your relationship was going well), would you still want to know?

And from another angle, if you caught your partner red-handed and had suspected him/her of unscrupulous activities, would you want to forget it ever happened and carry on as usual?

The reason I ask is because my friend, who was deeply in love with this scumbag says that ignorance truly is bliss, and she would pay to have her memory wiped of the incident.

So what do you think? Some people want to know everything down to the tiniest detail, and some deny it outright

i went hiking with like 6 friends and they all walked ahead of me and this guy that i like and then we were just talking and i said that only weird people like me but then he stopped meand said 'so you think im weird?' and i was like 'you like me?' and then he was like 'well i like to um hang out with you and ummm thats not what i meant exactly...' and i was like ' just say you dont like me' and he was like 'i cant' and so we kept on walking and then i told him that i think he's cute and he told me im hot but then we were at the bottom of the mountain and we had to stop talking and now im really nervous about what will happen next time i see him. does he expect us to go out now? and be boyfriend and girlfriend? im so confused. this hasnt ever happened to me...

He was with a woman for almost 2 years a few years ago and they lived together and were pretty serious(her 2 year old boy called him daddy, ect..). He talked about her alot when we first started dating, and he still has a whole album of pictures of her. We've been married for a year and I've been wanting him to get rid of them the whole time and he still refuses and says he'll never get rid of them. Does he want to keep them because he wants to hold on to her memory because he's not totally over her? Would it be wrong of me to get rid of them? Please help!!

My wife is starting to really piss me off. Friday, some co-workers invited me to go out for some drinks after work. I'd never gone somewhere after work. Just home. So I tell my wife about it & she flips. She said how can I want to spend time with 'other people' and not with her or the kids? I tell her it's only going to be for 1 hour or so, but still she doesn't budge.

I've tried giving her some time to go out & do whatever & I'll take care of the kids. But she'd rather spend her 'extra time' with me & the boys rather than going out. Isn't this her problem, not mine?

So I finally grind her to tell me what the real reason is. She says she's scared she's going to loose me & that she doesn't know what I'd do if the temptation was there. (She obviously doesn't trust me, but has no reason not to). She says she does trust me & that I'd be stupid to go elsewhere.

I just don't know what else to do or tell her... Any advice or similar situations? Please help

My ex and I are still pretty good friends. We keep it strictly platonic. He and I dated two years ago. Well, he has a girlfriend right now. The other day he and I and a few other friends were all hanging out. Me and the ex had a little too much and got a little touchy-feely but we didn't kiss. However, we started talking about our past relationship and why it didn't work and our issues that we had had. We were hanging on each other as if we were together. He kept wanting to kiss me and I had to keep reminding him (and myself) that he had a girlfriend. Now, I feel bad because I was too close to him for him to have a girlfriend but I realize that I still like him and vice versa. I've decided to stay away from him though. Before this night, anytime me and him argue it comes back to our feelings and all that stuff. Should I really eliminate him out of my life? I feel like after the other day, I am not respecting his relationship with his girlfriend and he isn't either. What should I do?

I am 22 yrs old
Prof.1:I HATE HIM!!~ still teaches me. Asks me if i need any help all the time. Wants me to stay after class and "talk". he doesn't give me any personal space when we stand and talk so i tend to stand away from him but then he asks me..why r u standing so far? and then he is like hmm...we should have coffee and i will explain things to u.whats up with that? he is like 27-28
i do not know what this really means but i dnt want to be rude with him coz i think he will lower my grade.I do not like him!!! god what should i do?

Guy 2:
he is really cool. took his class a few semesters ago. i asked him to do a favor and he is doing it for me. he calls we talk and yesterday he finished my favor and asked me.."we should have dinner sometime" what does this mean? he is a nice guy i like him.
they both not married or have a girlfriend..neither am i.

I have been with my boyfriend for a year and a half now, and we already live together . he has this friend of his that is a girl, that has been his friend for a few years, not sure how many though. him and her have had sex in the past a few times. the last time they did was about a year before he met me. I have never been comfortable with the fact that they are friends. especially since whenever she is single they start talking more again. he figured if me and her became friends i would see there is nothing there and be ok with it . i was for awhile but sometimes it still bothers me and i dont know what to do about it.the one rule we have about this is that he can't hang with her without me . But i am still uncomfortable with this. he says that if its gonna me me want to leave him, then he won't be friends with her anymore. but he gets angry about it. i dont want him to resent me for making him give up his friend. but i dont want to always get upset about this either . i just dont know

comes home when he wants?

We have a 7 month old baby at home and for those who have children, you know that it can be very difficult at times, especially at night. Yes, we both have full time jobs.

So here is the problem...my husband goes out and doesn't come home until 2 am and sometimes 4 am. When I confront him about it he says "I was just out drinking and I knew that if I called you, you'd be pissed so it was easier not to call you." I asked him if he would be angry if I did that. And he got mad and said "go do it, if you think that's gonna help your marriage!" I told him that it wasn't right especially because we have a baby and I am tired and need help. He does this at least once a month. He hangs out at bars where they do other things.

Am I being difficult?

He then said "fine! I won't have any friends and I won't go out anymore, I won't have anymore friends either!"

the situations is, i am a science person, and i believe in the laws of science are most concrete evidence. I am not an atheist, however, not really into organized religion, so basically agnostic. The girl i like, she is a liberal catholic, who goes to church and believes in her religion. Now i have no problem with that, I respect people's religion and i love to learn about different religions. But I believe that religion is very personal and it create some awkward conflicts between us. Do you think love will overshadow religion or religion will overshadow love in our situation?

i went out with a guy for 4 months
and last week we broke up and decided to be friends.
but he told me that we were just taking a brake and we would wait and see what happend with us later. but he also said that
if we could see other people.
and know it seems like he wants to go back.
but alot of people dont want us together there happy that were not together and i still love him very much. but we've been through alot and he was acting different before the brake up he wasint the same he just didnt say i love you anymore and i had told him that he wasint the same and he said that he didint feel the same way about me and that he still didnt want to brake up cuz he still loved me.but know i dont know if i should be with him i want to but i dont want to get hurt so what should i do?

What should I do about my husband not getting me anything for my birthday. Every birthday he had I've given him parties with friends, gifts,cakes and cook outs. In return he has given me nothing no cards, money, cakes, eating out, nothing. We've been married 11 years and out of the 11 he has done 2 things cake and a cookout that I had to cook.
