Please give opinions on each one, and if you have any that you think I should look at please leave a link... These were my favorite 3 in the price range that I'm looking at. I'm partial to #2 just because it seems more unique, but they are all gorgeous. I would like to see what others think of them. Thank you!

Oh, yes... I'm a female. I think my boyfriend will propose sometime soon, we've been talking about it.

Time Will Tell: I'm doing what "d" in the answer before your's did. I'm looking online, taking some notes, and seeing what I like. Also, why should he be the only one picking out a ring for ME? I'm going to be the one wearing it for the rest of my life, shouldn't I have a say so? Plus, I think it will be more romantic if we get to share in the time of looking at rings together and picking out something we both like.

I like the first one of the three. I tend to like more classic designs. What do you think about these?

I personally am not fond of any of them either. Too big and none are going to really sparkle for the money you'd be investing.

The last one--with the 4 small stones. It's not going to have the same pop. The sparkle is being lost with 4 stones. Light can't really get into it. And a princess setting is known for that--so it's going to be noticeable.

The 2nd one is ok but with 2 ct tw and that many diamonds--the majority of the ring is going to be the prongs holding it all together. Each diamond is very small.

A jewelers perspective: that is the problem with baguettes. You pay for the diamonds but it doesn't look any different from if you had saved a lot of money and gotten anything else.

The first one is definitely my favorite, though it has some of the flaws as the other one. Even though it is emerald cut (which in general means you are getting a much cheaper diamond b/c the cut wont allow it to sparkle--so they use diamonds that wouldn't have had a good shine to begin with), which is not an impressive cut it has the look of an engagement ring.

As you subscribe to bigger is better philosophy (nothing wrong with that so does my sister), consider getting a cushion cut and then later getting a wrap or insert done with white sapphires or moissanite to save on the expense and jazz it up for you. You could take a more expensive ring and get a similar one custom made. Especially if you really like baguettes, there is no reason for them to be diamond at all. An added expense with no benefit. Ask about substituting another stone in there.

Here are some other ones you might like--but that styles allow for way prettier diamonds

I can see you don't like round cut--but if you are getting all real diamonds, consider the brilliance of your cut. After all you are paying for cut, clarity, color, and carat.

Also consider--as you dont like solitaires--looking at right hand rings. Often they are cheaper, because they don't have the traditional look of an engagement ring. But if you aren't partial to that to begin with, it is a nice way to find better sales.

I really like number 1 and concur with others about not liking the 4 stones to make up the space for one. When you and the boyfriend are out in the mall and places stop in some of the shops to do sizing and styles. This will help you actually see it on your hand even if you purchase from a higher end establishment.

I like # 1 the best, but i have an emerald-cut ring so I'm partial. Dont limit yourself to what you find online. Just because they are in your price range doesnt meant you should limit yourself to those designs. if you go to a jewelery store like jareds maybe, you can show them a design of a ring that you love but may be out of your price range, and they can custom make it for you will a smaller diamond, less expensive metal or setting, etc. So find what you love and then find a store that will help you get it made perfectly for you. Also, you need to try things on before you get your heart set in something, because oftentimes once its on your finger you will feel differently. i loved princess cuts until I tried on a emerald cut and knew it was perfect for me. If you dont want to go to jewelry stores yet, go to a cheap place like claires and try on things with different cuts just so you can see how they look without any pressure. Start shopping! Good luck!

I like the first and third rings in the links Jasmine8 gave.
As others have said, it's MUCH more special to leave the choice to your man, that way he can choose according to what he can comfortably afford. Nothing wrong with giving him an idea of the style you want, but I think it's better to let him make the selection.
It IS all about the symbolism of the ring....

My favorite is #1. I think #2 is gaudy and too much and will look fake. #3 is okay. Unless you think that your boyfriend will ask you what you want or take you to get the ring, don't count on any of those rings though. They're quite unique and risky if he's not absolutely sure they're you. I'm in a similar situation and I like a ring more like #1 myself but it's so different, I'm pretty sure I wont' get anything like that unless he asks my sister for ring advice (which he wont' becuase he doesn't trust her to not spill the beans)

i like the first ring the best. i think it has sort of an antique look to it. and i love antique jewelry.
i really don't care for the second. on one hand it is very unique but it is also very busy. also, if you want to wear the band without the engagement ring, then it will look a bit strange.
i really don't care for the 4 small diamonds instead of one big one.

i recommend that you go to a store and try things on as well. when we were looking for a ring i had looked online and took some notes on which ones i would like to try on. the one that i liked the best is one of the ones that i did not like at all when i saw it online.
good luck!

I'm sorry but I don't really like any of them. I suppose if I had to choose I'd go with 1, but I think they're all a bit ostentatious. But having said all that, I'm really a big advocate for the solitaire or something that doesn't have as many stones. None of them really have that Oooo Aaahhh factor for me. And I really don't like in 2 and 3 that there is this massive amount of center stones. And I really like the emerald cut in the first one. But I'm a minimalist, so you probably shouldn't listen to me. Here's my advice: Go with what you love!!!!!!!!!!

I think #1 is the best out of all of them. 2 looks like something my grandmother would wear. To gaudy looking for me personally. I have small hands and I feel all of those rings would take over my hand. But #1 is the best.. very pretty.

Definitely number 1. I like that it's symmetrical with a wedding band on each side. To me, the two bands hugging the engagement ring represent the two of you joining together in marriage. So romantic!

I like the 1st one best based on style but I think they are way over priced for what you are getting. For that price you should be able to get rings with a sinlge ceter stone and side stones not a composite top ring. Check out these rings:
