Lots of ladies do either shave themselves bare or trim that area of their bodies. However they should be doing it for themselves and not because they think it is their chore to do so. Some males do this also. My wife was for a short while then she and another woman had a discussion about it and they came to the conclusion that pubic hair actually is there for health reasons and so has taken to just trimming herself again as she now thinks that it plays an important part in her hygiene. Whatever is correct nobody should be expected to shave and if they do so should be doing so of their own accord.

Hey I was indroduced to shaving from an ex-girlfriend about 4 years ago. And I think more guys should shave. The girls I have dated since have loved the fact that It is nice and clean down there. It takes a little time and probably why most guys don't do it but they have no idea what they are missing.

I like a woman that keeps that area trim but it doesn't need to be bald. I'm sure it all started with the "bikini wax" and has become somewhat expected since then. While it could make oral sex more of a challenge I think odor is an even bigger problem for some women.
Like I said...trimmed is good but don't feel like your expected to SHAVE. If your boyfriend expects that then I think it's only fair you ask the same of him.

I honestly don't know the reason why but I know that I hate it. I make my husband stay trimed underarms an what not, but there are areas where I am still fighting with him to trim so we will see how far we get. I tried to get him to go to laser hair removal he said he will think about :) I will say it is because that is the way society had trained us from the beginning we are to be clean and proper while men are shown to be manly and well just men. So unless magically society starts to change its gender roles its not going to happen. Yes some rules have changed and men are becoming more into personal groom however, men still think it is not manly to shave everywhere.

Its more feminine for a girl to shave than a man. Some guys do though. Its all about the preference. I ask my boyfriend to shave, and he does.

Totally depends on the couple. I feel BETTER when I shave. But prefer more manly looking men (hair) as long as it's trimmed.
Whatever floats your boat!

Double standard alert! I tried to get my bf to shave, or at least trim. Not that I really care, but he wouldnt cuz he said it's annoying and itchy when it grows back. Well how the hell does he think it feels for us to shave the damn thing everyday, get razor burn and ingrown hairs, not to mention nicks. I MEAN, WTF??!?! I prefer trimmed over bushy. Shaved is nice too though, I was "with" a porn star who was so frickin clean, it was crazy. you can put it in your mouth without worrying. lol! (no violations people COME ON)

Guys should trim it up too, shoot, at least I do. Let me put it to you like this...A tree looks bigger in the desert than it does in the forest. :-)
Girls, personally it doesnt have to be shaved, but please trim it up, it looks clean and nice and we like the view while we are down there.
