What do you think about a male going alone to a nightclub to drink, dance and pick up girls. I see that most guys are always with their girlfriends or male buddies to feel comfortable. I also understand that if you are a very social person you will not feel intimidated and start a conversation with new friends. My case is that my college friends and coworkers are either older than me and don't want to join me or are just plain boring.

Hi My bf and I live in different cities right now ( 450 miles of distance) and for strong reasons we can't be together yet. We hope to solve our situation by the beginning of next year. But i feel so sad and cry a lot because i wish to be beside him right now; and i feel will be an eternity to me wait so much time. How can i deal with my sad heart? Sometimes i feel i'm getting crazy, my bf knows that; but we have no choise for the moment....just wait. I miss him every minute.

My fiancee had a son before we met and we have a son together. My son can't talk yet but her son calls me daddy and I treat him as if he were mine, but I feel like he has the idea that he doesn't have to listen to me because everytime I try to discpline him she says just leave him alone or comes to his rescue. This week we started him sleeping in his own bed (he's 2) and hes been doing great all week, layin with us and going straight to bed after family guy goes off. Well you have to be consistent with kids for it to work right? Well today she went to bed a little early so I started to take him to his bed and of course he started yelling and woke up our other son,finally got him in his bed and she comes stomping in the room pulls him out of his bed and takes downstairs to lay with her and I told her "No he needs to sleep in his bed" she ignores me and now they are asleep, I went down and told her I'm done with him not having to listen to me and she threw her ring, Am I wrong?

When I was in high school, I got into an incredibly stupid situation and ended up being raped (no, I don't think I deserved it, but I also realize that I made a lot of stupid choices that put me in a very dangerous situation). There's part of me that wants to use this as an example with my daughter when she starts dating and going to parties and such of what can happen if you stop using your head, but on the other hand, I don't know... it just seems like it might somehow be weird for her to hear it.

(She's almost 10, so obviously, I'm thinking ahead here!)

I'm just curious on others' opinions, especially if by chance you had a family member talk about something like this with you - did it resonate, or did it just make you feel uncomfortable? Or would you just blow it off like only your mother would be that stupid and surely you know better?

And when both men know the woman is doing this why do they continue to believe her and allow this to happen? What kind of woman is this and does she ever change? I have a friend allowing a woman to do this and it is making me sick. I have offered up my advise and there is nothing more I can do. The woman is playing him and he is so in love he says, because the woman says she wants to spend a life with him. I don't see how when she leaves him then comes back after a month or so. THis is a pattern.

Before my mom died, she was in a nursing home and did not know who we were. She could not talk, eat or even know that we were there. I am the oldest and I was very close to my mother, she was strong,kind and loving; everything a mother should be. But I could not bring myself to see her like that. When I would go see her, I would just sit there and want to run screaming from the room because my mother was "gone" My sister on the other hand could not get along that well with my mom, they had big differences of opinion. Yet, she could go nearly every day and talk to her like nothing was wrong! My mom has died and I go visit her grave & I feel happy to know she is at peace, yet my sister has not gone once since she died! Why?? I do not understand.

how can i grow some balls, i cry off of stoopit stuff and i dont have balls,like, when im playing sports, people will do something like throw MY basketball somewhere and i cant get it back, and i wont do anything.

also, little kids from ages 6-12 taunt me, i could be walkin down the street and some kid will be like "lookit u you big bum, u aint shlt!" and i will say something like isnt it past his bedtime, and he will say isnt it my bedtime, and i will feel stoopid because i DO have a bedtime and i probably go to bed earlier than he does.
, its like ima joke, sorta like the movie "me. myself, and Irene"

just answer how i can get some backbone plz, dont say something like "dont let poeple push u around!" or, "tell those kids to kindly give u your ball back"

I have divorced her abusive father. Life with him was terrible. It seems that she still favors him and now he has a new gf who calls and likes to talk with her. My daughter is now angry with me and copping an attitude because I have expressed concern about her getting too close to this woman (his new gf) that we barely know! She has actually cried. I told her my reasons. My daughter and I have always been good friends, it just seems that, even though her dad was abusive, she always favors him, and now this other woman complicates things. We havent been dating very long but are definately falling for each other. We arn't having sex, we are planning on waiting til marriage, The thing is I havent met the parents yet only because they found out I was 20 and immediately figured all i want is sex and dont want us to date...I am not like most guys I respect women very much. What i mean to say is that...

all girls are nice...but you can really TELL if she's just SINCERELY SWEET and if she's just a girl who's nice?

by sincerely sweet, she's human and has feelings - she's hurt when she's hurt and will let you know but won't "sabotage" you...she's a loyal "good girl"; not high maintience at all

by a girl who's "nice" - it varies...she COULD potentially give you "revenge" and just not care and have no sympathy breaking hearts...could be high maintience?

My little brother (14 years old) has a middle-eastern friend (also 14) who has a fairly attractive sister who is 22 years old. They (the middle-eastern family), live right around the corner from my house. My brother's friend (named Irtiza) offered to help hook me up with his older sister. He also mentioned that she wants to meet me. The only problems are that I can't just go over to their house randomly and introduce myself to her. Besides the fact that I'm to old to just "hang out with Irtiza" (I'm 17), it would also be awkward to go there and talk to her for the first time. Their mother is quite protective and some attempts have failed. The family is also straight from Lebanon. Other problems include the age difference (which she (his sister) is not aware of) and my black race (which she is aware of). Any suggestions on how to contact her validly, and introduce myself?

Okay I am 14 and my parents are divorced so in my house it's just me and my mom. It's been just me and her for the past 12 years and since I'm an only child I'm used to getting a lot. I get pretty much everything I ask for (not tryna sound snobbish, but it's true) and me and my mom are VERY close. But there is this girl that goes to the school where my mom works and over the past year we have really formed a bond wit her. Now she is supposed to be moving back to her home town, but she's really not at a stable point in her life and my mom feels she needs guidance and that maybe moving in with us would give her that. A good friend we had crush on each other nothing never came of it I am attacted and know he is too. I good friends with his wife. Well it took a while for both of us at least me to kinda get over the crush. work in a federal prison. Well she is on light duty and is working alone in the computer lab. Well when I get off work at 8am I stop by and see her. Well, we were joking the other morning and she stuck out her tongue and I joked that her tongue was petite. Well she said "but I am a great kisser" man I didnt know how to respond to that. (she is married but miserable it seems. She has confided about how she has planned the divorce.
