I am 46. My 1st husband and I were 4 years apart. He was older. My current partner is 5 years older than me. I have dated men 20 years older and 10 years younger.
I prefer 5 years either side of my age, but these days I won't go more than 10 years. Why? Because I feel the bigger the age gap, the less one has in common. I've been hit on by 21 y/os but that is just crazy... young enough to be my son? Please. Don't need that kind of ego gratification... and I prefer men with experience if you know what I mean...

I am 28 so I like girls that are around 23 or 24. I have gotten most all of the partying out of my system and really don't want a girl that want to go out every night and drink and party. So that's why I say around 24. By then maybe she has got it out of her system and will enjoy spending time together instead of going out all the time. I will not date a woman over 38 a or so usually. This is because we are usually to different and see things in a different way. Pulse if I married her she would want kids right away more than likely and I want to take a few years and enjoy being together just the 2 of us and getting to know each other better. I did once date a 43 year old and wow she was in shape and hot, but she was a little crazy and she actually liked to party still like every weekend. So as you see there are always exceptions to the rule.

I am 46 and my girlfriend is 23. We have now been together for 4 years and at first it bothered me... but she chose me and I have resigned myself to the fact she really loves me. I find it quite satisfying, in that it drives me to be more productive. She wants children and we both agreed that before that can transpire that her future would be cemented in prosperity. We now have 2 successful businesses and at the end of the year the house will be paid for...
I guess what I am saying is it is different for everyone. I am very active (I climb trees for a living) and I am young I watch what I eat exercise and do not abuse alcohol or drugs and I do not smoke. I think I will outlive many men younger than me that use the above substances.
It is weird. But we have tried trial separations and it leaves both of us feeling like there are no bubbles in our soda. We do not fight or argue infact we work together and think the same. I will die earlier than her, I am just making provisions to provide for her after my death.
We want to be married but both agreed to a 5 year engagement... I am just about ready to get her a nice ring.
I would never date a woman over 40. They cannot usually keep up and truly most have more baggage than I want to help carry. 23 is tooo young... but in this case it works.
There is an old folk ratio half of your age plus seven. Meaning 30 is the youngest gal I should date (23+7) Yet in 10 more years it will be 28+7+35 and 10 more years 33+7=40 By the time I am 76 I guess it will be okay.

I think everyone should have limitations when dating but some people are so desperate they open the gates up to everyone to have a go. I say youngest person I would date is 19 as I am 20. Oldest person I would date I would say roughly up to 28ish. As I look at it with each year, I'm learning a bit more about my perferences and what I'm willing to put up with and what I'm not. Also what I can handle and what I can't. So many people today think they can take on the world but when the world comes knocking back they turn and run back to their parents or whomever will protect them. But it doesn't always work that way.

im 17 but i probably wouldn't go lower than 16, maybe 15 if she's mature enough. On the higher range I doubt many girls would want to have a relationship with someone as young as me, probably 18 is the max someone would go with me.
When I hit 18 which is soon, I think any girl 22 and under is fine to be with an 18 year old.

Well I'm 29 and my boyfriend is 27 and I think that at this point in my life, 27 is the youngest that I can go. Just because I am at the "ready to settle down age" and it just so happens that my boyfriend is that rare 27 year old man who is also thinking about settling down. Anybody younger than that wouldn't be ready for the same things that I am (at least not in my opinion). The oldest I would date is 40 because any older than that and they start trying to act like your father.

let see I'm in 10th so 9th grader for younger. I really like older boys but that's as low as I go.
Older wise. Senior. Anything higher then that would be illegal for me. And I'm not trying to have that person go to jail.
Let see that young because there in high school. And some act mature. Depending on the boy.
That old because just for legal reasons. Hoped this helped.

Well im 23, i suppose i would date as low as 18 or 19, no upper limit yet :) My oldest one was 30 that was about a year ago. And i tend not to mess with the young girls because its "usually" more drama

For myself personally, I always said I would not date anyone more than 5 years younger or older than myself. As I grew up, and dated a few guys, (I am 27) I say that I would date men up to 10 years older because they are more mature and most likely set in their future and their goals. As far as younger, I do not think I would go more than 2 years younger.

LOL actually here is my personal formula...it used to be that 'if you were not a sparkle in your momma's eye when I graduated highschool" it wasn't gonna happen. Now however, since my daughter is 18, the new rule is, anyone 24 and under is her territory, 25 and up is my own.
HOWever I have been informed that the 'official' ruling on dating is....you take half your age and add 7 yrs and that is the youngest you can date.
There you have it! Enjoy!
