Reasons vary I'm afraid.....some women are brought up thinking that they should get married and have families.....some don't want to work and want somebody to take care of them.... some find what they think is true love.... some get pregnant and feel they have too. I'm afraid there in not just one reason.... it is usually fairly easy to figure out the reason if you spend enough time with the person.

If you can find enought information on it, the Hincklye (MN) fire of 1894 is very interesting, and very dramatic. It was caused by overlogging and drought which set up tinderbox conditions near the town of Hinckley. The town (and several others) where destroyed, and up to 800 lives lost. One train escaped the town taking with hundreds of passengers, barely ahead of the flames - it needed to cross a bridge over a ravine that had already started to burn Another train took on hundreds and had to go in reverse several miles - it did not escape, but brought its human cargo to a lake where they survived the fire. Others survived in the middle of a gravel pit. The telegraph operator at the station perished. His final message "I've stayed too long."

Several reasons:
Some get married because they think that is the only way to get off the hold of their strict parents.
Some get married early because they thought they have met their ideal men.
Some get married early for security reasons.

Because some are dumb breeders who want babies and it doesn't matter who with as long as they have babies, so they marry the first guy whos sperm can be caught and then wonder when they get fat, ugly and worn out why their husband is leaving them!
