These kinds of laws vary from state to state. Check your local laws before there's any intimate contact.

Don't count on not getting caught, especially if her parents object to the relationship.

If you're not having sex of any kind then no you are not breaking the law. If you are having sex then it depends on what state yo ulive in. It's crazy but states have different age of consent laws. Some states have it as low as 16.Good luck with the parents. I personally don't see anything wrong with a 3 year difference.

It depends what state you live in. I know in Washington State it is legal for a 20 year old to have a relationship and/or sexual intercourse with a person 16 years or older, but once that person turns 21, they are only able to have relationships with 18 year olds or above. Google it with your state and see if you can find a law.

as far as I know you are not breaking any laws. from my understanding you have to be four or less years apart unless she is under 18 and you are over 21. The best thing to do would be call your local law inforcement and ask. If you are afraid to give your name , pretend you are a concerned parent and just say, I am calling to see about the age laws when it comes to relationships.

No thats not a bad thing at all its only 3 years.....I think legally the age for consensual sex anyway is 16 and thats only if they admit it was consensual..Since you aren't thinking about sex anyway I'd say just get to know her parents. What type of guy are you?? Are you doing things with your life? Show the parents that you are a good guy and worthy of their daughter. I think as long as you avoid them or don't meet them they'll think you are up to something but be upfront and in their face but show them what a great guy you are. I'm sure they'll love you in no time. If they see you are about something and doing something with yourself I'm sure they'll want a guy like you for her. Good Luck!

If you're not having sex, I don't know of any law you are breaking.
If you live in Texas, it's legal to have sex with a 17 year old.
