Here's the situation: my sister and brother in law got a 30 day notice to vacate because they were renting a condo and the owner decided to sell. My brother in law waited until the last minute to find an apartment. Finally, they found an apartment but they can't move in until September 15 (they have to vacate by August 15). They have two kids. Since they have to vacate and can't get the apartment for another month, they want to stay with us (we have two kids of our own). I absolutely refused because we rent an apartment and the landlord will get concerned with so many people at our place for a month. I love my sister but I need my sanity. I finally got their landlord's number and explained the situation to them and got an extension. When the landlord went to collect rent, my brother in law refused to give it and now says he doesn't have money for rent. Instead of staying there another month, and moving into the new apt. on Sept. 15, he insists on staying with us. Any ideas?

Text messaging is quite cheap nowadays. So, do you always text message your family? or call them? or email them? or send them post card? or anything???

When was the last time you were in touch with your parents? or children?

Does family bonding means a lot to you? Or something to you? Have you ever thought of how your parents showered you with their love and care before, and they were so sad to let you go, eventho' they realized that it was just meant to be??

every time we slip it in when they dont want to just to satisfy ourselves we are doing it?

Also, I recommend we all get a neon glow in the dark clock because we sometimes feel like superman and even pose like hulk when were done and think we lasted 2 hours, when in reality we lasted 2 minutes.

there's this boy that i've kinda liked a bit and we started talking recently more than usually and now he is always smiles around me and when we're with friends he makes sure he is always next to me. I dont want to ask him if he likes me cuz if not then that would be akward and i don't want that, but i don't know how to act around him now?
I don't know if these are signs or just wishful hope.

we have always felt out of the loop, and have been not included many times with family things. recently at a dinner a family member suggested a family cruise and asked me to go. wanting to be honest, i said no thank you. i was not rude or disrespectful but after the family member asked me seven more times, i guess i became emphatic with my "no". Now other family members are saying i was disrespectful and trying to purposely hurt peoples feelings. it is true that i have a lot of feelings of resentment for things that happened when i was a kid, but i didn't mean to be rude or disrespectful, they are still family and i love them because they are family, but i know i would not enjoy going on vacation. am i wrong?

We have known eachother (and been friends) for a full year and out of that we have been dating for seven months. I know if I were to tell my parents now they would not go for it at all. We have decided to wait about a year longer to tell them (and to see if we are truly compatable in that sense) but I can't come up with a decent way to tell them so they won't be super upset. I am pretty sure they will accept it (over a couple of weeks after telling them) but I want to do it in a way so that it is respectful and will cause them and us as little pain as possible. Any suggestions? Thank you!

I've been seeing a girl for about 4 months now. It's long distance and was deemed open until recently we commited to one another. The problem for me is that last month she went on a date (which I knew about - again, it's an open relationship) with a guy and ended up having unprotected sex with him at the end of the night. She never told me this until a little "truth time" we had when we decided we wanted to commit to one another. I also found out she had cheated on her previous boyfriend at least two other times and had unprotected sex with these guys as well. In addition to being really hurtful, it puts me at risk for STDs as well. I've asked her to be honest and upfront about everything as she has been thus far, I'm just concerned one day she'll do the same to me. I know she loves me and cares about me, and I've asked her not to hurt me like that. If she's bored in our relationship I'd rather have her leave then cheat. I want to trust her. How can I trust her?

I planned a nice birthday party for my almost 2 year old daughter coming up soon. I sent invites out and everyone knew the date early. Turns out, my husband's brother (also my daughter's godfather) has to be out of town on business. I guess I was naive to think that his new wife (my sister in law) would come, even if he couldn't since - oh, I don't know, that couple is named in our will as the people who would raise her if we died? I hadn't heard an RSVP back from her, so when I saw her at a wedding this weekend (a wedding for our husbands' 3rd cousin), I asked if she could come, and was surprised to hear her say no. She is having visitors in town during that time, and - here's the kicker - says her husband told her she "didn't have to go" since he couldn't be there. Um.. excuse me? Am I alone in thinking that going to a birthday party for a niece is a no brainer, and that she should have planned to come? My feelings are quite hurt by their nonchalance. Are they cold, or am I nuts?

Ok I have a teacher friend from college and her husband also teaches classes at the college but they are phys. ed. classes and the one I am taking with her hubby will be at a gym playing racquetball. Well I asked my past teacher if she ever had any time off or wasn't busy with anything else at all, to come up to the gym and play with me b/c it is mostly all boys and my best friend couldn't take it with me so thats why I asked her. Also.. her husband is the teacher so I dont think it would be a problem... do you? What do you think?

My ex-fiance and I dated for a year and 3 months. We were great together, we shared the same beliefs, morals, ideas, everything. But I was going through a rough time in other areas of my life and my own stupidity tore us apart. We thought we would remain friends but we ended up upset and angry over the split. Now he won't talk to me and he's getting married to someone else even though we've only been apart for four months. I know it seems like I should let it go but I can't. I'm just so strongly convinced that we could work it out, or at least give it a try before he jumps into a marriage. He refuses to talk to me and says it's best that he forgets about me at all. I have changed from the person I was and I really want to make this work. Do you think there's any chance of getting him back? If so, do you have any advice for what I can do?

Ok, so i finished grad school in december and my parents are really pressing me to get a job and support myself. The thing is--- and I am in no way bragging here--- my parents have always had a lot of money and so it wasn't ever really necessary for me to work to make a living; so my question is, isn't it unfair for them *now* to insist I get a job even though they're more than capable of getting me an apt at little personal sacrifice to myself? Besides, most people wouldn't work if they had the choice, so isn't it better I not work and have free time to do things like read philosophy, listen to music, and go to interesting places (travel etc.)? Also, i'm 25 and while they said they'd never throw me out, my dad hinted that maybe i'd feel better if i got my own apartment and was independent; but the question is again, why work just to have your own place when there's enough room in their place for the three of us? am I really wrong here or are they just being unfair?? thanks!

I would like to know if any of you went through a drinking problem and were able to defeat that addiction and now live a happy life with your family? I would also like to know if any of you had an abusive husband and were able to get him through anger management and now live a normal life without having to worry about him ever getting mad and trying to hurt you? The reason I am asking this is because I am going through both situations my husband is an alcoholic and he also has an anger problem. Since Im pregnant and our baby is due in about 2-3weeks I have came back to my parents home since he tried to break a chair on my 37 week belly. Im not sure what is going to happen with my marriage, for now Im trying to focus on my baby and I want to know if there is hope for my marriage to change or better said for my husband to change.

My mother and I are indifferent to each other for reasons too lengthy and personal to relate here. I've tried getting closer before but she's always shoved me away. Lately she's been having serious health problems. I want to feel something for her but I don't feel anything and I know it hurts the rest of the family, especially my dad. How do I overcome my indifference?

Please not this question is of my 1st one because it seems everyone want to push the blame on my husbands part!
My husband is not to blame here so don't try and start something!
My 1st question was this: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20070805020538AABgCZl

My husband is really hurt by my actions, I had the affair 10 years ago and for no other reason then I felt I was entitled to it, it was selfish and cruel to him!

He's taking it really bad to the point that when I tried to talk to him he told me to leave or I'll end up in hospital!
Our marriage has been hard but a good one, and although we have no children now I thought we might have them in near future, now this!

Any Ideas on how to save our marriage my husband calling me a slut and wont talk to me!

The O/mans wife told him and showed proof of affair that occurred 10 years ago why is she made now!

Both of them are going at it in REVENGE, against us why now?
Should I wait it out, and forgive this?

I'm 13 almost 14.
I'm not allowed to
Have a cell phone
Go to the movies with friends unless a parent is with me
Not allowed to go the mall with friends unless my mom is there
Not allowed to wear tank tops, not even over a bathing suit. (I have to wear a full shirt over it)
Not allowed to get a bigger bra than a size 32a. even if I'm a B!
Not allowed to have a bf until I'm 16. Not even one at school.
Does not like it when I guys check me out. Or when I think a guy is hot
I can't even go in a dressing room with out her coming in.
My aunt even asked why I don't have a cell phone her daugter is 11 and has one.
I went to the movies with out a parent with my 11 year old cousin and my mom found out and freaked. She might not let me over there again.
I'm not really that close even though she thinks we are close. I felt more comfertable talking to my aunt, but she live 2 hours away =( So, is my mom too strict? Or am I just over reacting? What should I do?

I’m sixteen now,
And thought you’d be proud,
But it seems somehow,
That you’re not around,
But I’ve still chosen you as one who taught me,
That forgiveness isn’t easy,
But it can be done,
Especially for the ones you love.

You broke my heart,
Ripped it to shreds,
But when someone you love turns their back on you,
Someone you looked up to,
Someone you thought the world of,
Crushes you,
If you love them enough you can forgive,
And move on because life is too short to dwell or pity,
You’ve shown me this,
But not by example…

I’ve learned from your mistakes,
And now I’m wondering how long it will take for you to discover,
That missing piece inside that you can’t seem to find,
So you can find happiness and forgiveness in yourself,
This is a thank you,
For helping me realize that life is too short to hold grudges,
And that you have to grab every minute of it and run with it,
And that family is forever,
And ever,
And ever,
And ever…
