My boyfriend met my mother and father for the first time a couple of months ago - it all went well and life goes on. However my boyfriend confessed the other night that he could tell my mum's eyes that she thinks "I can do better." But he can tell my father just wants me to be happy. He also accused my mum of being a fusser and domineering over my dad!? How he managed to gage all this from a 20 min chat over a beer I don't know. He has an awful, loveless relationship with his own mother and he has said in the past that his previous girlfriend's parents didn't like him. I was really taken aback - why would he be like that. My mum hasn't said a word to me about thinking I am too good for him? !

i have no idea what happened. the last time we talked was last night and before that..last saturday. both times, she blew me off. last saturday, i was trying to be understanding. she was tired from work and had to wake up early the following day for a trip. last night though...it was different. she was cold. normally, if i'm not talking much, she'd be the one to initiate the conversation. my point is..she doesnt like it when i'm not saying anything but last night she was blowing me off...AGAIN!!

i dont know why.

do girls regularly blow off guys out of nowhere??? if not...what could i have done wrong and how can i remedy this?

Just wondering if guys look for a girl who is rich, or come from a rich family? or is this somehow intimidating, or off putting when they find out the girl is rich?

Assume the girl is not snobby and does have a great personality.

I am a black American woman, mid-thirties, ok looking and employed. Everytime I reach out to someone for friendship or dating, I get rejected. I feel so demoralized, like I'm not even a human being anymore. I have noticed many other black women experiencing the same thing. Please help before I blow my brains out. And I'm not kidding about the last sentence, my life is truly worthless at this point.

If the spouse is successful in dominating over his partner in the initial days can he continue to dominate through out his married life? If the wife is stupid then I feel that the husband must have the upper hand in the marriage rather than allow his wife to dominate over him.

about 2 months ago i started dating a divorced woman. She divorced because she cheated on her husband and then stayed with the man she cheated on him with for a year. This past Christmas, they broke up. Now, she tells me that she stays in contact with both her EX's. She also said that she was over him and that she rarely talked to him. And the man (we'll call him Tom) she cheated on her husband with, one night, about 1 month ago, text her while we were in bed together and she answer the text in front of me, at 11:30PM. She wouldn't tell me who it was at first, but i found out by looking over her shoulder as she was deleting the text to him she sent. I freaked and she "that was very disrespectful to do that"...and she agreed and we had a fight and i shouldv'e walked out but we talked things out. 3 days later he called at 12:00AM and she didn't pick it up to answer.

im dating a girl who is divorced because she cheated on her husband, who she has no kids with. I recently found out that she has not removed the names of the guy she cheated on her husband with or her ex husband from her cell phone (only reason i know this is because she text him back one night after receiving a text from him afer we had sex...she was sneaky about it and i looked over her shoulder to see who it was) . I asked her to remove the names because it bothered me. She didn't, even after several times asking. She said she wont because she felt it was on principle that she shouldn't and that it felt like i was telling her what to do...am i wrong for asking her to remove the #'s or should i just let it slide and trust her? thanks for your responses everyone!

...but what if i spend every night with her and sleep there and she says she loves me and wants to start a life with me and wants me to forget about her past and move on...because our present and fut

If you're dating a guy and hes always giving you stuff??? Should you keep accepting his gifts or tell him its too much? I mean sending roses 3 times in 2 weeks? Another thing he bought that was quite expensive and it seems like he always tries to impress me when we go out. He brings out BIG MONEY right in front of me and plays with it then puts it back in his wallet. Im not as interested in him as he is in me so should i accept?

To start with, I realy love my boyfriend.
we have difference but not that much bad.
Before our marrage we decided to rent house so he can leave and buy somethings, because he can't afford the payment now I do.
When we have problem we clearly discuse but I have some time misunderstand him even I know what he says is diffrent.
We decided to get merried on November but last week he told me we cant do it on November because of he have so many things to do and have no time to think about merrage.so he want it to be postpond his reasons are his additional education,my bad behaviours, etc. so he said he need some time.
But I quarel with him, I said this will be the end for our relation ship because he was supposed to tell me before. He told me he loves me but he want us to slow down and take some time , and he said he still loves me. but I cant trust this word is this true? or what can I do to know what is happening? he stop calling me, now we did not call each other for one week.

Well, this is the weirdest question I've ever asked here... but... Here we go...
I'm a part-time bartender, last night I waited on this guy that has just moved here from Jacksonville, FL, I'm guessing he has no job yet, he was trying to get people to buy him cocktails all night last night... he did find someone though... So, tonight, I was off from work, bumped into him at a bar... after about 15 mins he wants me to go to his place for a "bar-b-q" I says no...
He CALLS ME: BORING... then LEAVES... Did I do the right thing by saying " NO "... Felt like he was a hustler or something like that...

My boyfriend and I have been together 9 months. He says he is not in love with me but is "falling in love with me so much." This has confused the life out of me, needless to say, as it seems a bit soap opera to me and am scared he just won't love me - but his actions indicate otherwise. Whenever I go away he is like a lost puppy. This weekend I am going to the US for 11 days - the longest we have ever been apart - and he keeps saying how lost he will be without me, and has gone a bit quiet this week. I went away for three days a couple of mths ago and he was miserable. I will miss him very much but I think the break will do us good and may help him sort out how he feels about me. His lack of "in love" for me has hurt me deeply ( especially because he admitted he has fell more quickly in the pas and left me very worried - his last two relationships which he gave his heart to ended badly and I am sympathetic to this, but am concerned about the outcome of this relationship on my heart.

ok from the begining. me and my boyfriend have been together for ten years. we were married for five then because of his cheating and mental abuse we got divorced. we were seperated for a year during that time he did not see his children or have communication with his children due to his own life not because i would not let him.At the end of our divorce i met someone we dated for a years and a 1/2.My ex husband then decided he wanted his family back. I broke off that realationship and gave my ex that chance mostly because of our two children. In the 1 1/2 years we have been back together nothing has changed he still drinks alot doesn't come home from the bars the realationship between our oldest and him is not good because of his earlier actions. And to make matters worse the man i was seeing during the split wants me back, only he is married now to.Im lost!can someone please help with out being to judgemental.

I've asked this before and was surprised to see that many people think this is acceptable. That aside, my friend is distraught. Her ex-husband insists that she has no right to know - but as a parent, she needs to know where her children are. Even if they are in the same country.
Recently he took them camping at the time of the floods. She was beside herself with worry.
How does she calmy persuade him to share this information, purely from a parental point of view.
BTW - she isn't a control freak - in fact, that shoe is on the other foot.
