I've been dating with a black guy for over 5 weeks and I'm scared what my family's reaction would be. They're not racists but you know it'd be kind of strange. I asked him if he wanted to meet with my family he said it was ok but not so into it. Should I tell them?

Married 25 years, and have raised 3 children. First of all, am I happy. Most of the time. Nobodies happy all the time. Does my husband make me happy, sometimes. I have learned to dig deep inside myself to make myself happy. Does my husband hit me? He hasn't actually hit me in about 15 years, has thrown things at me, or around me as recently as a year and a half ago. Am I still afraid of him, somewhat. I give him some credit for controlling his anger. Does he call me names or try to belittle me, yes, things like white trash, and liar come to mind. Does he do it all the time? No, it comes and goes in spurts. Does he compliment me? Never about my appearance, I am attractive and it seems to bother him when other people comment on it, but he does seem to respect my intelligence and is not afraid to say it to others. Does he say he loves me, all the time, but he also says he hates his life and only sticks around because of me.

Do men find women in ther 30's attractive or old? If you do find women in their 30's attractive what attracts you to them? I am in my 30's and Im in good shape and feel I am hanging in there but I am always scared I will be left for a younger girl, my man if we watch TV or are out in public he will always make a comment like "damn" when he sees a younger women and he even wants me to get him the "Girls gone Wild " videos and I know there are women in their late teens and early 20's in them. It just hurts my feelings becuase Im not that 20 year old anymore. Id like to know from a mature man what your opinion is about women in my age group maybe Ill feel better about myself with your responses. Thank you

My husband hates his job. He comes home every night in a foul mood. He complains all the time about how much he hates it. Now he is on a pity-party saying "maybe I'm just not qualified for this job" "maybe I've been fooling myself". First, I tried to cheer him up all the time, give him pep talks. Nothing changes. So, I tried to tell him how his attitude was effecting me. His answer "fine. I'll just pretend like everything is okay". Look, I am pretty realistic. If your job makes you miserable then get another job. Don't sit there and wallow in it. Get up and do something about it. Unfortuately, he doesn't see it that way. Right now, I don't want to be around him because I am just tired of the complaining. How do I deal with him?

We have been married for a few years years and our sex life had slowed down a bit - we were only making love about two or three times a week. However since he found out that I slept with another man he can't leave me alone. He showers me with affection and we now make love every day, sometimes even twice. I am not complaining but I wonder what the explanation for this is.

I was thinking that maybe my relationships are not working because I am not open to different types of guys...meaning different races. So I was thinking maybe dating someone out of my race like a white guy. I have always been attracted and even had a chance but I was always nervous because my friends say that they are different then black guys...meaning they like different things, they react different, feel differently, and that scares me because I dont know how I should be or if I wouldn't know how to react to good or bad things that may be different then what I am use to. So my question is whats the difference between black guys and white guys when it comes to relationships? Or maybe guys can tell me what they would do for a girl in their relationship.

Please don't offend anyones race or culture this is not anything like that. Thank you

but we filed taxes separately. In case he stops paying his credit cards, the collectors can come into my banking account, that is only in my name and take my money?
Can you also refer me to a website that details this?

We talked of a destiantion wedding where my immediate (mom & dad, my children & maid of honor & her signifigant other) & my fiancee's immediate (same as mine) would take the trip & have it be an all inclusive deal that me & my fiancee would foot the bill with the exception of their own spending while away. always figured that rather then spend thousands of dollars on a big party for alot of people we barely know to eat & drink just because, we'd be much happier spending the $ on those who mean something to us & have everyone enjoy themselves. However as talks of "our" wedding progress even though we haven't picked a date (early October), acquaintences and some friends have said that it would be rude for them not to get to celebrate too as maybe they could not afford the trip or whatnot. They say we should have another party when we return or before we leave - but that's more $$$ & it's for them - not US. Are we wrong or being rude, selfish or just realistic about what WE want?

I do understand what it meant in the ages where life span was very short. Although in these days and times people live much longer time periods. Can "Til death do us part" mean... The death of the love of 2 people who are no linger on the same page and out grown each other mentally and spiritualy?

In other words why hold in the anger when you can address the situation right then and there instead of waiting until you burst and it turns into a shouting match

If I miss a call from her, she'll say "WHY DIDNT YOU ANSWER MY CALL?" Where were you? What were you doing? When she misses my call, I just leave a message asking for a call back. She'll call me 100 times until I answer my phone.

To YA! say this because our childrens schools form of communication is mostly through email. Every week they let us know what event/fieldtrip etc. is going 2 take place 4 that week & the next few wks ahead. Both of us get the emails. He reads emails from people here who contact him directly about answers or questions but when it came down to events at the school or something that needed his attention his excuse was "oh I didn't read the email." Excuse me but shouldn't your childrens schooling take prioirty over YA? Last night I gave him our daughters outstanding report documenting her excellent improvement ovr the year (she was very shy &sensitive) & a few minutes later I c the rerport in his hand but him looking at YA! Am I being overly sensitive? I love YA too, I apprecate the diverse advice & opinions but I also can still keep my priorities in place. Tell me if I'm nagging. Our children & I were very dissappointed @ the events and conferences he missed this yr. due 2 this
