I've just started the book Lolita, inwhich a grown man is infatuated with the characteristics of little girls (preferably between the ages of 9 and 14.) He refers to these girls as nymphets, something I didn't even recognize as disturbing until I finished a third of the book.
Is this a response to the Electra complex or something like an inverted Oedipus complex?

I feel like an idiot for asking this. My wife was hurt 3 weeks ago and we have not had sex since the incident. I have tried be patient but I am going crazy. I do not know what to do. I told her and she says sorry she is just not ready. We usually had sex 3-4 times a week. This is the longest we have gone since we got married 7 years ago. What should I do. I do not want to pressure her but I am going crazy. Would it be bad to pressure to have sex even if it is basically just for me?

I got back with my girlfriend 4 weeks ago, i love her to bits and i want something special with her bascially a life. I lied to my gf when i first met her that my parents would be ok with me dating an english girl. However i did invite my gf to my house before when my dad wasnt home, she got on really well with my mum and sisters and they were ok with me dating an english girl. But my dad is really religious and he would never let me bring my gf home, and my gf allways says she wants to come to my house again, i tell her she will but how do i tell her that really she cant come cos of my dads religious grounds. i respect my dad and i dont wanna break his wishes, also i dont wanna move out as im only 19 n a student. i go around to my gfs apartment. i love her 2 bits i would defo marry this girl cos my mum wud be behind me, i wud do nefin 2 make her happy. i love her so wat y shud my dad matter ? how do i tell her my dad wont let anygirl come to the house or approve her ??? plz help ??

We are in a long distance relationship. When I call to talk to him and he is busy or spending time with others, I sometimes get frustrated. He says I am being selfish. All I want to do is talk to him. What should I do? ok so i have an ex, call me a liar but we loved eachother. i know in my heart that it was more than ordinary love. i messed up a lot of times because i made the mistake of getting with him while i had feelingings for another ex. we messed up one too many times and from that day he has completly ignored me,i broke his heart and this is his way of forgetting. but i have thee strongest feeling in my heart that this isnt how its supossed to be. this is the only time that i ahvent been able to make it go away. what can i say to him to make him respond,ive tried so many times.please dont think im stupid or immature. i just really need to figure this out. i know its not right.

My boyfriend and I are moving in a month and he is realizing we don't have alot of money, luckily his family is helping us out with the move but we can't afford things like new clothes for him (they shrunk in the dryer), to fix his car, and he really needs to go to the doctor because he's in a lot of pain because he cracked his rib. <- that's just the background story.

What I really want to know is some quick little things I can do to cheer him up. What does your girlfriend or boyfriend do to cheer you up? I'm just so out of ideas! :(

I'm 14, so I guess until I'm at least 18 my parents will still love me, right. Then, I'll be an adult and, not sure if they'll still love me and will want to get involved in my life. If I die today, I think they will get really sad. But if I day the day after I turn 18, I don't know.

My husband has had 4 days off, he also has West Nile which makes him tired.
All he does is sleep but my problem is that he asked me to make him a honey do list, I never have before I guess i think that he should look around and know what needs to be done.
I do not want to turn into a nag.
should i do this?? it really does not bother me if he doesn't clean as long as he doesn't complain when i don't clean.

when I learned about his wif I confronted him about it & he admitted it.That was 7 months ago. I know what i should do is dump him but it has been very difficulty for me.Had i known he was married I wouldn't have dated him at all.

There were no signs that he was married at all. Whenever I called & wanted he to come over,he was always there.He has Never ever stood me up.I used to go to what I thought was his primary place of residence but he confaced that it's a house that his wife doesn't know about.He even gave me the keys to that house(I thought he was not married).The only TRUTH was his 3 kids that I met & hung out with over & over again.He introduced me to them as daddy's friend( which at the time seemed right bcos they are 7yrs,6yrs & 4yrs & I thought he didn't want to confuse them). He said he was divorced.
At times i called him late at night, when i felt like having sex(he was my b/friend, at least I thought)& he came over.He never said No or gave any excuses.

I need alittle help. My husband wants to move closer to his family. I really dont want to. I am so close to my parents if we move we will be 5 hrs away from them. He doesnt just want to move because of his family but has been promised a job making alot better money than he does now. We have 2 children together so I have to wonder if it is the best decision. He has promised we will visit my parents at least twice a year. Some advice please!
