Plan it mid afternoon (2-3ish) and serve appetizers, not a full dinner. Recruit friends and family for assistance. Keep the guest list low. Make decorations simple, yet elegant...not extravegant. Again, just keep simple and elegant in mind and you'll be fine!

Call your local state park, or other park with a pavilion or gazebo. Once you have a location, talk to your minister, or a justice of the peace. You can do your own food if you are doing light sandwiches (many places will do 6 foot subs and other light fare) or you can see if there are ANY caterers available. You will be more lucky if you choose a Sunday afternoon or a Friday afternoon for your wedding, since most wedding vendors will absolutely be booked for such a last minute event.

You will need to rent chairs, and probably have a back up plan just in case of rain. Get your guest list together as soon as possible and print your own invitations (Cheap at any major chain store like Walmart or a craft store). You can have a semi professional photographer if you know of one...or if you have a friend talented with such things. Cake and punch can be served at the reception, or, picnic fare as I mentioned before.

most park and city beach require a park fee (which normally is priced around $40-200). So that covers location. All you really need are some pretty white chairs that can be rented, some pretty flower arrangements and the guests. If you know anyone who has a nice backyard that would be willing to hold your reception...that will be cheap if not free. Have your wedding catered with nice finger food rather than a course meal especially if you plan for your reception to be late afternoon (before dinner time). There are lots of ways to style up your wedding on a low budget.

I had a family member take our picture (he was a professional)

I had my mother make the flower arrangements

My sister in law made my cake.

My boss's wife worked for a catering company

and my boss had a classic car which he chaperoned me to the wedding / reception.

It was a beautiful wedding and planned in 3 months

It's very possible if you don't have a lot of must haves. Weddings are only expensive because of all the decorations and stuff. Flowers are very expensive. Photographers, videographers, caterers and facilities. I've been to weddings at the park and in back yards. If you're by a beach you can do it there. You don't have to feed people. You can have cake and sparkling cider at your reception and call it a day. There are so many ways to cut down on costs, it all depends on the type of person you are and what your willing to give up.

Many people have weddings without tuxes now days. Even the brides are wearing non-traditional dresses. The less people you have in your wedding the easier and cheaper. If you take your time and think about what's really important to you, you can find all kinds of ways to cut the budget. For example if you must have special wedding decorations you can purchase much of the items at party stores and make them yourself. That saved us a ton of money for our wedding. Though since you only have two months I would pass on the decorations.

Stick to the essentials. Pull on every favor you can muster out of people and watch those dollar signs just fall of your wedding price tag. For more advice look up ways to save money on weddings on sites like Martha Stewart.

Have your wedding in a backyard or park, contact a minister, get your marriage license, buy silk flowers from the dollar stores, and make your own bouquets, have a trusted family member make your cake. Serve only wedding cake and coffee and pop. Buy your wedding gown at David's Bridal on sale for $99.00 the bridesmaids dresses can be purchased off the rack at the better department stores, when on sale, and the Grooms tux, and ring bearer's tux and wedding invitations will be free, along with five hundred dollars in freebie coupons, when four of the groomsmen rent there tuxes at many of the formal wear shops. Check around for the best deals. Bargain hunt. You can have a beautiful and elegant wedding for next to nothing. Congratulations on your up coming wedding! Best Wishes to the Bride and Groom!

Well it's depending on what cheap is your limit? Dont know your location or where you live. If you go to rental places you can rent wedding equipment at a fair price, just look in the yellow pages. Remember it's all how you would like your wedding to be...it's something to remember for the rest of your life. Budget... on how much you want to spend...you know if it's outdoor, your gonna need chairs, couple of tables, decorations.. can be found but if you want it to be cheaper your gonna need family help the most...service is money...goodluck and i wish the best for you.

1. Get in touch with local parks in your area. Most of them have gazebos / venues that can be rented for the afternoon where you can the wedding. Much cheaper than renting an official "wedding space".

2. The standard "donation" for an actual Man of the Cloth is around $300. Try and find a "wedding officiate" who will do the nuptuials for cheaper.

3. Pot luck reception. Instead of gifts, ask your guests to bring food/drinks for the reception. Trust me, it is not as tacky as it sounds. It will also save you $$$ on an open bar, catering, etc. etc.

Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!

you could try having it at a park, or at a friend's house with a nice back yard or you could try renting a fire hall or lodge. Getting married at a gazebo would also be nice and not expensive. Have friends take pictures, and do decorations to save money. You could put a disposable camera at all the tables for the guests to take pictures so you have alot of them. Make your own food and cake. There are alot of things you can do to have a inexpensive wedding and it still be nice, good luck

Find a justice of the peace in the phone book and book him.
Call a florist and pick up the flowers yourself, instead of delivery. Make your invites on the PC yourself. Find a local food place...like hot dogs, IT beef, pizza....to cater (Brown's Chicken is good too). Use casual tablecothes and decor from the party store. Get a store bought cake, not the usual $500 custom wedding cakes. GOOD LUCK!

I don't know how cheap you're thinking, but if you can have it someone's backyard or on their land (like a family member or friend), that would be free. If you cooked your own food, that would be dirt cheap compared to hiring a caterer. You could put together a mix of songs on the computer and play them (instead of having a dj) throughout the reception through speakers. You could bake the cake yourself...
