Why is it wrong for a man to want to protect himself in case things turn sour?
I personally believe that if a woman truely loves the man she plans on marrying she shouldn't be worried about signing a prenup....I also believe the ones who refuse to do so want to take their husband to the cleaner if they divorce.

My fiancee and I want to get married outside, but a Catholic priest can not marry us, so he says. The Church does not recognize an outdoor wedding as valid, and the church will not allow weddings to be performed outdoors. Why is that? Adam and Eve were married in the Garden of Eden, and Jesus attended a wedding on the Mountian at Caina, both of which were outside, so why not us? I am not a Catholic so this does not really bother me much, but this is kind of disheartening to my fiancee who is. We are getting married outside anyways by a former Catholic priest who ran off and married a former Nun. Jesus taught us about love, so what's the deal with the in the Church building, not outside?

My ex and I was together for ten months. I know he's an ex for a reason but I miss him. we broke up three weeks ago, right after graduation. We started to fade and we ddin't see each other much anymore. We still talk but he told me not to say I love you anymore to him I know I should mov on but it's hard when you find your furst true love and now he's just a friend. I still love him very much but I want how it used to be. I want everything we had before but I don't think I can have that back anymore. He's changing, he still flirts but the jealous person inside me couldn't stand if he had a new girlfriend. I hear "Corey got a haircut, he looks so adoreale!" I want to be the first one to know those kind of things. not the last person, you know? He calls me but I wish we were more like before, so how do I go on? ( i know that sounds stypud but I need help?

....than the rules she has for friends & family.
Why is this?
Please note that I said tend to be.
It is refreshing to see that people think I must be getting my info from a nasty sample of women, but I'm here to understand the realities I personally view/experience/hear-about, and minimize my risk.
Many women have rules & point systems that are nebulous, unspoken, & different than those she has for even her mother or girlfriends. Most men are the worst beings in the universe to expect these things of. So why; is it the excitement of getting a man to do these things?

My Niece is getting married in a couple of months... My mother, (her grandmother) is a tad unconventional. My mom is not the sterio typical grandmother. She does not want any flowers, to be walked up the isle, and I am now battling with her now about her clothing. The wedding will be in a up scale location and it is after 6 pm. My neice is so worried about this and I took this problem off of her back. My mom is the only living grand mother and my neice is the only girl in the family of all boys. Should my mom wear a gown to this wedding? My neice is not dictating anything specific, buy my mom wants to wear a mini-skirt so the attention will be on her and not the bride!!! Any help will be greatly appreaciated!!!!

i am a christian girl an i believe that being married is special an i only believe in getting married once an everything should be shared but i guess his past relationship with his ex girlfriend ended in child support an now he has trust issues he is always saying that nothing comes for free. the bad part of it is that she planned this whole thing of getting pregnant an leaving him but , poor me is left picking up the peices. i think its unifair that i have too pay for what that girl did too him an yet the whole prenup is just a peice of paper. But it goes agianst my beliefs an the bible.

I worked hard and paid my way through school working overnight for the postal service while I went to college in the day time and raised a child to get to where I am today why is it a crime to want the finer things in life after sacrificing so much shouldn't I be commended for not being a statistic on welfare? Instead I'm being spat on for being successful.

For those who don't know me I'm a boy.
As most of you know I've just lost my girlfriend a couple of days ago and I just feel like a total loser. Hardly no girls like me and the ones that do dump me after a few days and I just hate everyone at the moment especially myself, I see guys going out with girls just for looks and the size of there breasts but I look for personality and looks but it never seems to work.

I just found out that my girlfriend is having a baby and it is my baby. I also found out that my girlfriend is married. Having been deceived, hurting, and above all having a baby soon. What kind of mindset should I have? I want the child to have a great life and will do anything for that to happen. I'm currently working as a Database Engineer, so money is not really a problem. The problem is I think I need some guidance because of the complications that's involved.

At this point I think my girlfriend and I needs to put our differences aside. We both need to focus on raising a child together. But, the question is how?

I have cared for my girlfriend and will continue to care for her. Then decided what we will do after the baby is born. I think at this point I will just have to swallow my pride.

Ladies: What would you do, if you were in her situation? Let's say it's not that easy to get a divorce because of cultural differences.

I love my girlfriend but always knew she wasn't exactly my type. We have a child and although she wasn't my dream person, she is someone I have sincerely grown to love. She isn't what I've always wanted with looks but her personality couldn't be better. Plus our life with our baby is great. I've told her before that I don't think its wrong for us to be parents first and lovers second because I would like for us to be good parents to our daughter. She took it bad and thinks that I don't really want to be with her. Don't get me wrong, I love my girlfriend and am actually considering asking her to marry me but is it okay to ask her to marry me if she isn't exactly my dream person? Do you think it's okay to stay in a relationship, that is good and healthy and loving, even if they aren't the person you have dreamed of?

My ahusband and I have been married for 3 years. He is a Malayalee and I am white. His parents are Pentacostal Christians as am I but we had issues with is family from the beginning. They never supported our marriage. Almost two months ago we were dealing with some things his parents said about me. I was offended and he took their side. He told me he was going to speak with them in person (we live in Oklahoma and they live in Michigan) and he would be back in a few days. He never returned, he changed his address, and quit his job by e-mail. He will not speak to me but I have received a few general e-mails. I know that many Americans will say I should divorce him but as a Christian I feel that is the wrong thing to do. Also I have heard from some people he worked with that he may have been on singles websites at work and that he may have gone meet someone. I really need some advice about what to do. Anyone who is a Malayalee Christian might have some insight about this situation.

My girl is having dental surgery in a few days. I already asked for a day off at work. Should I surprise her or let her know I'm coming?

She will most likely be sleeping most of the time, but I just want to be with her. Lay next to her as she sleeps, fall asleep with her hand in my hand, kiss her forehead from time to time, bring her juice. Also I'll be getting her a big nice stuffed animal or a get well gift.

Should I go? Should it be a surprise?

Thanks

Well my definition of dating is seeing one person his is not. So I was under the impression that it was still just us two and that was it. Well I was wrong he hasn't slept with anyone yet, but he has been talking to other people. I asked why he didn't tell me this he thought I knew what he meant by dating boy was I wrong. Anywho, he thinks that because I acted jealous once before thats how I am. Would you as a guy dump your girl because she acted jealous even if you claim that you love her?
