....than the rules she has for friends & family.
Why is this?
Please note that I said tend to be.
It is refreshing to see that people think I must be getting my info from a nasty sample of women, but I'm here to understand the realities I personally view/experience/hear-about, and minimize my risk.
Many women have rules & point systems that are nebulous, unspoken, & different than those she has for even her mother or girlfriends. Most men are the worst beings in the universe to expect these things of. So why; is it the excitement of getting a man to do these things?

Being a woman this may sound strange coming from me, but I feel sorry for men really. I would not want the job of figuring out a woman, lol. Women change their rules based on many things, past relationships, experiences, personality changes, and finally mood swings. And because we are a woman, with the potential to have numerous mood swings, we reserve the right to change our mind at any given second in regards to these said rules. Is it fair to men, nope, but that's life and honestly, because of this, most men get hooked. Who wants a woman who has no rules? Who wants a woman who doesn't care how the relationship turns out? Wouldn't you get bored?
Having said all that, I don't mind a man of mine to have his own rules, or to change them on me. People grow, that's life, and each day you evolve and no longer want the same things, or something else becomes more important than others.
As for friends and family rules, come on, that's so simple. We aren't in love with them, so the rules are totally different, and most of the rules of love don't apply.

Portwine,

I've answered other questions of yours and it seems to go back to logic vs. emotion.

In general rules men create restrict actions or create specific outcomes. While, again in general, rules women create don't focus on the actions, but the emotion produced. The problem is two fold. First the emotion produced may not be universal to both men and women and second the emotion produced does not usually resolve the situation. Example: a person is in pain and you hold their hand. Yes, holding their hand may of made them feel a little better, but fixing their injury would remove the pain all together.

what are you asking? are you saying women should have lower expectations of men? if so sometimes I would agree with that. Men are not women and yeah some women want things from a man he is totally unable to give. However I also think you should not just settle and accept stupid crap from a guy.

You need to pose your questions in a more concise and less vague manner, with specific examples and details. You could be referring to just about anything.
