My girl is having dental surgery in a few days. I already asked for a day off at work. Should I surprise her or let her know I'm coming?

She will most likely be sleeping most of the time, but I just want to be with her. Lay next to her as she sleeps, fall asleep with her hand in my hand, kiss her forehead from time to time, bring her juice. Also I'll be getting her a big nice stuffed animal or a get well gift.

Should I go? Should it be a surprise?

Thanks

depends how long you've been dating- if its only a few weeks then i'd say tell her before you go- she may think its weird. if you've been together for awhile, i would just show up as a suprise- anyone would appreciate that. its a very nice gesture!

I just had oral surgery myself 2 weeks ago, and I was put under for 2 1/2 hours. When I woke I was in a drugged induced state of mind, I couldn't really walk, and the last thing I wanted to do is have someone hang around. I just wanted to sleep/nap for the rest of the day. Always kissing her on her forehead would probably drive her up a wall. Its not a fun state to be in.

Do yourself the favor, just go there, bring her home, and let her be. But I'm a guy so maybe me and her would be different, but I'm just trying to explain how I'd take it.

I wouldn't. Because people talk out of their head when they are coming out of the antisthetic, and they have blood,
and gauze pads in their mouth, etc. It's not the romantice sleep you are thinking it will be. Give her a day, and go see her on day 2. The stuffed animal is nice or some flowers.
Maybe a milk shake?

That's probably the nicest thing I've ever heard ( a little sappy, but sweet nonetheless) Definitely surprise her! She'll really appreciate being taken care of!

surprise her, but be prepaered. Anestesia can make people cranky, and she may not be in the mood to be cuddled. After she feels better she will be VERY happy that you cared so much!!
