When you are having a hot flash you will know it. All of a sudden you will feel this hot heat sensation come over your entire body. All you want to do is step into a cold environment to cool off. You break out into a instant sweat which happens in seconds. Then it will disappear until the next time. I experienced this for the past two years and it was awful. Cocoa

How old are you?
Have you talked with your Gyno?
Have your periods lessened or stopped its normal cycle?

From what I hear when you have a hotflash its like the sun comes out of the pit of hell and nothing you can do will cool you off.

hotflashes feel like they are coming from internally and radiate out of you, rather than getting warm from an outside source

the best clue is to be in a cold place, if one comes on, then it's definitely a hot flash

You would feel like you're burning up, sweating, almost like a nervous sweat. It can happen if you're wearing clothes for warmer weather. It can happen in the winter when you should feel colder. It is triple the heat in the summer. And if you have them at night while sleeping, that can also be uncomfortable. Talk to your OB or Doc about it and she or he may prescribe something or suggest something that may minimize its effects, ect...

a hot flash is very uncomfortable, even a woman sits near an airconditioner it would not help to cool the inner heat. women have hot flashes if their palms are hot or very warm, and their vagina is very warm too, signs of an upcomming mentrual period... i guess you question should be is when does a woman is really horny...that is 1 week to 3 days before she have her period depending on the hormonal level of a female.

Her face gets beet red & she starts sweating profusely. It can happen any time of day or night. When it happens at night, they call it "night sweats." Some women wake up & find their clothing & bedding soaked from sweat.

If you'd ever had one, you'd know. Imagine your body is a gas stove, and someone just turned the flame up to HIGH.
