I am 21 yrs old I work part time. I live at home with my parents but I go to school. I have a 4 yr old daughter. I'm a little over weight (which I'm working on) but I’ve got a good head on my shoulders. I think i'm a beautiful young lady. I have never been in a healthy relationship that lasted more then 5 months. I know I'm young so I don't expect to find the one yet. But why do I have such a hard time keeping a guy? All my relationships end they same they just end he stops calling even when I break up with him. I don't have any guy friends that I’ve dated. I just don't understand what I'm doing wrong. I want to find a guy that is good to me and understanding of my situation. Even if he's not the right one forever. I wish some day that I could find a good guy so I could show my daughter what a healthy relationship is. The sperm donor isn't around period so I’d like someone that can show her what a father or a male role model is like. I'm very open about my daughter to the man I’m with I don’t push her on him at all. Mostly I just want to know why its so hard for me to find a healthy relationship even if its just for practice for the right guy.

We originally planned on a park wedding with all of our family (100+ people). We can't afford to have a big wedding and honeymoon and the honeymoon is really important. Plus the idea of having a big wedding is stressing me out as I really never envisioned a big fancy wedding. My groom and I agree that it would be wonderful to get married on the beach and then relax for a week before going back to our hectic lives. I don't want to hurt her feelings but it is our day and our choice. How do I present this without offending her?

Ok my Mom and I have always been super close, dad was abusive and so we grew to rely on eachother.
I'm living away from home, it's been two years and I'm living with my fiancee.
Background:
Fiancee: Hes 5 years older then me, has his bachelors in Biology, and is going for his masters in education. Hes very level headed-emotionally- and we have this same random odd sense of humor. Hes sweet and I've never been happier in my life.
Me: I'm 20, I work as a Teachers Assistant at an elementary school. I've made bad relationship choices in the past...real losers...trust me. I'm a very individual person.

Mom is very unhappy I'm getting married so young, I can understand some of her fears. I'm afraid she is linking my relationship with my fiancee with her and my fathers which ended badly.

I'm so used to her being there for me that it's hard for me to deal with her not supporting me. I'm an adult and am still going to get married because I'm happier then ever.

Advice for me & mom

It is my 2nd marriage and my husbands 1st. We got married on 1/1/07 and then bought a house together. We are planning a wedding reception on July 28th and a house warming party. The reception will be in the back yard and very casual. What kind of invites should I get? And how to word it cute for guest to bring their own lawn chair and maybe their own drink if they dont want Coors Light/Soda/Water...????

I'm getting married in 6 weeks, to my high school sweetheart after 15 years, when we broke up. He and his ex has shared custody to their two kids, boy 8 and girl 5, but their mother is always gone on the road and is left with either him or in daycare. I have a good relationship with the kids and I want to be able to vow to them that I will be there for them. Most of the vows that I have seen is an exchange between parents and children... I'm not really looking for them to say anything to me. Anyone have any ideas? Or websites? Or did anyone else write vows to their step kids?

Is it okay to have a sex with a guy when your 14 and the guy is 16 going on 17? EVEN if you've dated him for about....5 months
friends for 6 months
I don't think so but maybe I'm not being open minded enough?
my guy friend has a girlfriend and she's 14, really sweet and pretty but isn't she young for him? espically since I know he slept with a couple girls, I've told him but he says he loves her and laughs it off saying he knows what he's doing, but she's young and I kinda like her as friend...she's naive and...ugh, am I prying?

My brother is interested in getting a Mormon Priesthood but he is not sure if you have to remain celibate. For the Catholic one you have to. Also, my family are university teachers so I was wondering how difficult it would be for him to upgrade to a bishopricry?

What should I do about my sister. Last year my mom went into a diabetic coma and the decision was made for me to move in with her (I was able to transfer to her location which was 80 miles away from where I was). But all my sister can think about is that I am taking advantage of mom. I don't think I am. I pay rent and part of the utilities plus buy 95% of the groceries. I also run errande, etc. My sister even went so far as to contact adult protective services. They closed the case as mom told them there was nothing wrong. What should I do, anything. I sent her a letter stating that if she didn't stop, I would sue her. Anyone know if that is an option. BTW she also sent emails to various family members (aunts, cousins) telling what a bad person I am.

Maybe for a second wedding or non-traditonal wedding, even a first wedding were the bride is really unique. It sounds cool, hands free to hug guests. It's a different concept.

Okay. My fiance and I decided that when giving birth to our daughter, it was best for only the two of us to be in the room. We told our families that and made sure that they knew. Here's the problem: His mom is a pushy and controlling *****. I just talked to his sister today and not only is she planning on weasiling her way into the room, she plans on video taping it all and taking pictures of my ***** when she is comming out. What would you do to get her out of there? Aparantly telling her isn't enough.

My husband and I both have children from previous marriages so we made all 5 of them a huge part of our wedding ceremony. We gave the photographer a list when we first met with him with very specific photos we wanted taken. He assured us it wouldn't be a problem. There wasn't anything out of the ordinary with our request. Well when we viewed our proofs I noticed that NONE of the photos we had asked for were there! When I confronted him, he said that because of the wedding day schedule he didn't have time to get the ones we wanted. He got all of the traditional pictures, but none with just us and the children. I guess with the day being so crazy and so much to do & remember, I didn't think of it while he was taking the pictures. We can't go back and do it all over again, and the photographer keeps telling me that it's my fault he didn't get to take them. What can I do?

I'm truly not going for pity here, but I do need help.
My Mother died in March, and things at home have been more than terrible lately. My sister is never home, and my father comes home.. not himself with other women almost every night. When he is.. "himself" he's a completely different person, but it seems like he's only like that to me, because he and my sister are still close. It seems as if he makes a point to scream at me and blame things on me, and true, I have been messing up a bit, but no more than I did when Mom was alive.
Is it my fault that our family is falling apart? Should I be doing more?

There are some things that my boyfriend had been consistently doing lately that i thought could be sweet but sometimes it makes me scared... i thought i'd ask what you guys have to say....

Everytime my cellphone beeps and i start pressing the keys to reply to SMS.... he blurts out... "who is that?"

There's this anonymous number that keeps on sending messages on my phone... so my boyfriend took the number and texted the guy what he wanted from me.... and it turned out it was just a highschool friend who was married... my boyfriend said he just wanted to make sure it wasn't a stalker...

then one time i told him... i hope he won't change when we're married... because we're engaged.... i told him that i like how he loves me now and i hope he won't change... then he said... "i will love you more... and take care of you... i might not even let you leave the house when we're married.... cause i wanna make sure you're ok".....

opinions pls........ in depth opinions..... pls....

I think the "wedding industry" has hijacked marriage and distorted weddings into this unbelievably materialistic affair, with spoiled "bridezillas" expecting to be treated as princesses. As Miss Manners states, you give the wedding you can afford (whatever that is) with the best grace you can muster, as a celebration that is entirely at your own expense - where did this idea come from that others should pay for it?!? And you are grateful for your friends' attendance - you would never dream of expecting them to put their finances at risk to spend too much to buy you a gift! $300 is ridiculous for the average guest - where did the idea come from that the bride is "entitled" and the guest is rude if they don't measure up to some monetary benchmark? At my wedding, close friends played music as a gift, and gave a small (unexpected) gift besides; others spent from $25 to $100 ($50 average), and I was delighted with everything.I cared more about my guests' good time.
