My hubby and i could not agree on wheather or not to have our son circumsized.He said yes because he was circumsized. I said No its genital mutilation and unessary!So i lied and said i got our son was circumsized when he was not.Is this a big deal?

I love him so much--he's really sweet and fun to be around, and I've felt like I want to marry him.
But..he's controlling.

He gets really jealous when I go anywhere with my friends, and makes me feel bad about it.

He always wants to know who I've talked to, and doesn't want me to have any guy friends.

He doesn't really give me any space & sometimes I feel like I can't breathe...

the times that I feel hurt by his actions I often feel a sudden need to make him feel as bad as I do, so I have irrational thoughts about ways to hurt his feelings. How do I stop this child like temptation? I am far past the age where this is okay. I want to grow up and have a calm conversation about it.

my son has custody. The mother is now in prison for what I think was a crime committed to get money for drugs. She has written a tear-jerking letter to my son asking him to have her daughter be her pen pal while she is in prison. My grand daughter is 9 years old, and termed by her teacher to be emotionally and academically immature. My son has asked me what I thought. I spend a lot of time working with my grand daughter to help her catch up on school work, learn music, etc. I'm not inclined to let her correspond with a mother who chose drugs over her. Am I wrong?

I met a guy a couple of weeks ago and we talk to each other several times a week. He was VERY hesitant at first because of how young I am--so he's probably not trying to use me or anything. i've been with the same guy for almost 3 months now.
we've had sex a few times and he told me he loves me.
he is really attached to me and i don't want to break his heart.

but i met a man at work yesterday.
he's in the military and we were on the phone for hours yesterday night.
we've texted all day.
i barely ever see my boyfriend now and he's gonna be a navy seal in a few years. the guy i met is 5 years older than me and is gonna be stationed here for at least another year.

i felt so weird when i talked to this guy.
like the feeling is hard to describe.
just sitting at a table with him [ i work in a restraunt ]
made me smile and happy he told me i had beautiful eyes, and he liked my smile.
and his friends were sitting right there.
he told me i was impressive on the phone last night

he's the only guy i've ever given my number to upon just meeting them.

i know i'm not in love with him or anything.
but what is this feeling i have.
i just turned 18 and he is 23.

My future sister-in-law is a great girl and my twin sister is going to be my maid of honor, so I don't want to hurt her feelings by not including her in the wedding. But I also have 5 friends that I want as bridesmaids and that my twin sister is also friends with. My fiance's sister doesn't even know any of my friends and she may just feel out of place... Is it customary to ask your fiancee's sibling to stand in the wedding?? I certainly don't have anything against her, but I find it hard to leave out any of my close friends as bridesmaids. Thanks!

Ask God to bathe Kaleb in his mercy and grace, to hold this little boy as his body fights, to place His hand on Kaleb's head, to tell him to wake and look into his mommy and daddy's eyes once again. God can do anything, we just all need to keep asking.

I have never had a best friend before until the last 2 years. My friend Jocelyn comes from a mormon family with high values and is actually a lot like mine. My parents have recently been telling me they don't want me to be with Jocelyn anymore at all and to eventually not be friends with her. They don't want me to because they think she influences me and I don't have a strong enough personality to deal with her. I do have a very strong personality and I only do what I want my friends never influence me to do anything. How can I just say goodbye to a friendship that is so strong? How can I tell my parents that this can't happen? I need help.

It's a curious thing

It's a curious thing, that bond,
And of it I used to be very fond.
But now I look at it a new way,
And I almost....I dread the day.
I see why it fails, it's obvious,
And 50% say it's not so fabulous.
What a pledge, think about it!
The rationale just doesn't fit.
Don't get me wrong, 50% work out,
I wonder, what's the fuss about?
Perhaps it's disney, fantasy land,
But wow, it's such a huge demand.
With such a low success rate,
Why do people still participate?
Is it because they really want to?
Or is it just what they 'should' do?
Although almost half of them fail,
There's still half that do prevail.
Over which half should one ponder?
This is what I wonder, as I wander.
As I wander, down a divided path,
One that splits, the world in half.


So really, why do people do it? I guess i've lost my desire to marry but I want to regain it and don't know why...
