i'm a muslim and i had sort of an arranged marriage because my family is strict and very cultural, its been about two years now that i am maried, the guy is from pakistan. Its been nearly a year since he's *** to UK. At first he was such a sweet guy,he was so kind to me.BUT now evrything has changd,he is very bossy, he wants me to do everything his way, he doesnt want me to work but stay at home and be a housewife. Ive always been the independant type who likes to do things for my self. He says very nasty things to me and is very violent. Ive spoken to my parents but they are not understanding. I thought i had found the right guy, but he is really changed, he has a bad temper all the time. When i speak my mind and stick up for my self he tells me i am a bad wife. when i ask him that we need to talk to sort our marriage problems he says he doesnt want to talk to me becuz i am dumb. i am sick of being treated like this. He doesnt speak to me any more but stil wants me to do things for him

Okay so i wrote before about my BF that wouldnt tell his mom to leave our house after living there for 9 months! well he finally told her we want our own life without her breathing down our necks like we are little kids! by the way im 24 he is 28. so you see what i mean by me wanting our own life with out her there. its not that i hate or disrespect her its just shes been there long enough and is completley capable of taking care of herself! well anyways back to the reason im writing this... my bf told her he wanted her to try to find her own place she agreed. well since my bf is a little irresponsible he got a d.u.i. after a few drinks. now he cant come up with money to pay for a lawyer so he is letting his MOTHER baby him and pay for the lawyer herself which is 1,200 so instead of telling her to save her $ & he will come up with the $ himself. he is letting her pay... to be continued

Well, I decided to give it a shot. I just found out yesterday we are having a baby boy... so, for this baby I'll do my best. Now, he wants to get himself a break... a F@@#@ Month Break. I don't know what to think... he's saying he loves me and he wants us to be very happy for the rest of our lives... but, a break??? He is renting an apartment, I guess. As soon as we fix our differences, we move back together, he says. How can he see I'm changing? How can I be sure he is not living the Vida Loca? How? If we are not together... and I don't even think we are going to even talk to each other during that F@#@ Break. I'm exhausted. Is this going to work, I ask? He seems to be happy about this thinking it'll work fine. He says he would do stuff with me over the weekends (he works his *** off anyway suring the week). Today, I came home and he already took one of our things... I guess everyday coming from work I'm going to find one thing missing from the house. Is this a man thing or what? HELP

My husband was dating a lady before we got married. We of course ran into her at the mall, because she still lives here. She also has come in to eat at our restaurant once, maybe twice. I specifically asked him if they had slept together before me and he said NO. I didn't want to feel uncomfortable since she seems to have poped up a couple of times. The other night I asked him again, because we were just talking, and he slipped and said YES. I feel a little weird. I know it was before me, but I am so upset that he would lie to me. Should I be upset? Why would he tel me no years ago, and now I find out Yes? I feel Betrayed. Like the jokes on me. I know now that when he first introduced her to me (we ran into her at the mall) He knew it...She knew it...and I was the dumb@** that didn't!
Am I wrong?

My husband and I just had a son he is 4 months old. All of the sudden my husband wants to buy a boat. Not a small boat at 30ft boat. He has never owned one before, never been interested in one before and has not the 1st clue on how to maintain a boat. Is he going through some mid-life thing? He is only 34! I don't want him to buy one, so I know it's going to turn into a fight. UGGG

My friend is divorced . He and his ex -- wife
have a little boy . His ex -- wife keeps depending on
him for various favors .
When she had a turtle, she kept pestering him to
help her take care of it . She used to borrow money
from him, but that's over with . We don't know if
she's going to start again . She used to make him baby
-- sit her son from a previous marriage, who he
despises .
She talked him into returning a drum set, a pair
of shoes, a small dishwasher, a few movies, a bottle
of lotion, and an exercise machine over a four day
period .
When she had him return the exercise machine, she
kept him waiting for seven hours while she found the
receipt . We wound up going to her house on Memorial
Day when we didn't really want to go .
My friend thinks doing her favors and socializing
with her is inappropriate . These time -- consuming
favors and this socializing interferes with his life .
Is there a nice diplomatic way to put a stop to these
favors and this socializing ?

I see so many questions posted on here by people getting back together with their spouse or forgiving them for an affair (as I am one of them) and usually they state that in their question and are asking about a feeling or a thought...not about their marital status. But its like people look right past the question at hand and judge the whole situation not even knowing the whole story or the circumstances and start saying the cheater will always cheat, or the betrayed wasnt doing enough to keep the other happy. If they are asking whether to go or stay is one thing...yeah voice your opinion...but if it is something else why cant they just answer the question without being so negative about the whole relationship? It doesn't bother me so much, as I am happy with my decision...but I have a friend posting questions on here and she is more confused than ever. Ultimately if you havent been in the situation, you dont know what you would do, only what you think you would do.

She has an ED. Each time I've told her she's beautiful, it's actually made things worse because she says she has to keep telling herself she's ugly then. I don't know how I can help her see herself differently.

my husband and I have had a lot of problems the last few months and so have been going to counseling every week to work thru things. During this time he confessed to cheating on me and just last night I revealed that I too had cheated on him. The last time I cheated was 8 months ago and since then I have recommitted myself to my home and family. I have vowed to never to that again, not just to him, but to myself as well. But now I feel like since I told him what I had done that he may go out and cheat again. We are trying to build the trust again, but I dont know how to do that very well. Should I just relax and realize that he prolly feels the same way I do as far as never letting it happen again? After all, he has told me time and time again that he wont cheat on me. I guess I still have my doubts, and I am confussed what to do. *Sigh* thanks for all input

My bf is 22 and i'm 26. we've been together 10 months and he says he loves me and i adore him. i have 2 kids and he says he wants to marry me and all that jazz! He loves my kids and always wants to be with us. we have our problems but we have one common interest we love each other. well he's a cutie and i'm told alot that i look good but i'm worried that b/c i'm older he'll find somebody younger and cuter and it worries me all the time. do guys typically like older girls? i have never dated a younger guy. he says he only wants me and blah blah blah, but hey we live on the beach and there are some beautiful girls here. I always act really confident with myself (or try to) but actually i have none. He wants to get married soon but I want to wait at least another year or 2 to make sure we'll stick it out. I'm just so jealous when I see younger girls. I don't say anything to him about it but i can't help feeling this way. it sounds retarded as hell when i type it. :P

I have decided not to hire a photographer for the reception of my wedding, since they are different days (destination wedding). I have a nice SLR camera but don't want to take pictures myself. Who should take the pictures?? I don't really want to bother my family members, but I guess I could always look for a volunteer. Plus, I don't really want to use those silly disposible cameras, they never look good. Any ideas?
