My boyfriend is 18 years old, and our 1 year anniversary is in 2 weeks. I want to do something really special, but I dont have much money. He likes to hunt and fish. I've already given him most of the pics we've taken together so I need a really great, unique idea really quick.

1) Find him a great book about hunting and fishing. Go to flea markets and old bookshops, you can find great old mags and books for less than 5 dollars.
2)Using old newspapers, dorecycled paper (you can look for online instructions). Then make him a small calendar, marking down the days you've dated through the year or small notes regarding special events.
3) In your back yard make a small fire (take precautions) And place twelve sticks around it. In each stick put a marshmallow, and over the marshmallows write (with food colors or melted chocolate -a toothpick is great to write with-) Words that describe your relationship through the whole year like "Companion" "Love". Also you can make a 12 word phrase. Read each marshmallow and roast it for good luck. Watch the sunset together and then try to stargaze (you can find online star maps). In a bowl put rocks inside that reads questions like "What was the first thing you noticed about me?" "What makes you proud of me?" "What is the thing you're secretly dying to tell me?". Take turns an each of you take a rock -eyes shut of course- and ask the question. You'll learn a lot about your boyfriend this way!

Plan a surprise weekend give him a note or tell him where to meet you and when and to bring his fishing gear. Take him fishing ask some one about fishing in your area and what you would use even worms are only a couple bucks. Then make sure you have a packed picnic for the middle of the day. You could even just surprise him with a night picnic at the park take a few candles and his favorite foods.

Two words, actually I think it would be better worded in a phrase, give great sex. It's free, n think of all the other benefits that come with it, its good for the heart, releases endorphins, relieves stress.
These reasons aside, your boyfriend being a typical guy, appreciates great sex as much as you would say, a romantic walk at the beach at sunset. So if you really love him, you'll know what to do, plus all the things you need are free.

How about a really nice watch? Any guy would dig a real nice wristwatch try brands like Seiko, Pulsar, Fossil, something of the like. Or how about a really nice pair of sunglasses like Oakleys or Maui Jims. I'm sure he doesn't care about the gift anyway, being with you is probably gift enough. However, I know you feel obligated to buy him a gift so how about just a nice new watch or a nice pair of sunglasses that he can enjoy for many years to come?

What I did for my 1st year anniversary and I didn't have any money was:
I made a coupon book!
It sounds uber cheesy but it's actually really fun. If he likes to hunt and fish, make ones like "good for one full weekend of fishing with your guyfriends" or "good for one morning of breakfast in bed." Other things I used were: massages, uninterrupted football game, a romantic dinner, boys night out....
My man really enjoyed this when I did it for him!

Cook the guy a nice meal. I would love to have a great meal cooked by someone I loved. The old saying goes the quickest way to a man's heart is thru his stomach.

Write him a poem or make him a cd. Down load and make it hot! Thats cool. OR find out what he needs I much rater give people gifts of needs before wants cause they'll use the needs.

you should take him somewhere. since he likes the outdoors, maybe you can go on a simple walk in the park or the beach (depends where you live) and have lunch outdoors. that would be really sweet
