She has an ED. Each time I've told her she's beautiful, it's actually made things worse because she says she has to keep telling herself she's ugly then. I don't know how I can help her see herself differently.

She has a Inferiority Complex, and trust me , you can't fix it. If she's convinced shes ugly , some where back in time, (Probably before you came on the scene, something happen to make her feel that way. And learning to love ones self , and feel good about themselves is probably not in the cards. So, just treat her like she's beautiful , as you see her and understand that it isn't your fault. Just love her.

It's the same thing I do. When someone tells me I'm pretty I say "Thank you, but I'm not pretty." Every woman/girl/teenager is hard on theirselves. It makes us feel really awkward, just tell your wife this, "You may think you are ugly but I think you are the most beautiful woman in the world." No woman likes what she sees in the mirror.

Where are men like you hiding at? I sometimes tell my husband that I think I'm ugly and he doesn't put much effort into telling me I'm not. He will just say I'm not, but there's not much convincing to it.

maybe get her help for her ed that is a start usually when a girl has that she will never love herself or think she is pretty untill she gets better she need help

Don't know for sure but do things and take her out and show her off so that other people will look at her and let her know that she is so.

Your wife has low-self esteem and and she doesn't appreciate you telling her how beautiful she is. I would start doing reverse physiology on her and tell her how ugly she is and maybe then she realize how beautiful she really is.
