I've been browsing questions today, because of a problem I'm having, and have seen a number of them about girls going through hard times because the guy is the "bad guy." I've also seen guys doing the same because the girl is the "bad girl."

It seems like every one where the guy was blamed, the answers were all about leaving him, taking him for everything he has, take his kids away, and so forth. It's like he's automatically a jerk.

When the girl was causing the problems, the answers were to talk it out, work it out, see what you can do to make her happier, etc. In this case there are "problems" in the relationship.

What's with the double standard?

I love my boyfriend dearly, and we've been together for nearly two years, but lately i've started questioning if we really have a future. He's had some bad breaks, and made mistakes in his life before i met him, but when i met him, he had just been turning his life around and gotten a job and a car and seemed to be working towards the future. I'm in college and we have a long distance relationship, hoping to move in together after i graduate. But i feel like he's just been waiting for me for the past two years, he says he wants to go back to school, to move into a good apartment and everything, but he hasn't really made an effort to do that. I wont' do anything for him, but i try to help him recognize his options and opportunities, and i feel like he just doesnt act on them. He likes his job, and i dont want to force him to leave, but he needs better pay to do the other things he wants. I dont think he realizes it, but i think im his excuse for not moving forward in his life.

But a week ago when i asked him he said yes, so i asked for that day off at work, my boss & family think i am getting married. i feel embarressed and played. we live together for 11 months & i faithfully waited for him when he deployed to iraq. My best friends brother is 20 years old. He has never had a girlfriend before and he hasn't started dating yet either. Her brother says he wants to get married to a girl and have a family someday. In high school he was always the one that worked on his education. Since he has never had a girlfriend before does that mean he will not get married and he is gay? Do you know anyone like him who is not gay?

Hello Veronica

Yes I have read your messages on IE and I am very sorry that things are the way they are with you. It can not be very easy for you but I am very pleased to hear that your business seems to be taking off.

Yes, I would like start again with you Veronica. It is very empowering for me to hear that you found my strength and masculinity empowering for your and I am very aroused at the thought of you totally submitting to me!

I have to admit however that I am concerned about the passionate nature that you have shown so far! I know that I was very bad mannered when I have to cancel our meeting and for not contacting you once things had sorted themselves out at home but I was somewhat taken aback by the voracity of your emails to me! I know you were angry but it was quite scary to read and the threats you made made me feel very uncomfortable about what might happen if things went any further with us. This is the reason I have not been in contact since then.

I therefore think it best we take things slowly and it would be good to meet up again for a glass of wine and to talk about exactly what you are looking for and what I am looking for.

I do understand that your marriage has broken up and I am sad for you but mine has not! I am therefore looking for a passionate but very discrete lover who wants to be totally controlled in the bedroom but who is not going to make any demands on my time when she is not with me. In short I am looking for a sex slave!

I know that me saying this may seem harsh but I wanted to be totally honest with you Veronica so that there are no mis-understandings. I have a very Dominant personality and want a girl who likes and needs to be treated sensitively but firmly but who is not going to do any thing to upset my home life.

If this is not you then I will fully understand and we can leave things as they stand. If however this is what you want from me please do let me know.

Anthony xx

I have asked 11 girls to the prom and no one gave me a yes. I felt so depressed. I didn't mind going with a friend but all the girls seem to think of it as "your date is you boyfriend". So I always got a no. Then I overhearred my friend talking about being uncertain whetehr or not she was going to go. I talked with her about it and she said I'm gonna think about it. But she said it in a way that means yes.

Naturally I was excited, but when I got home I realized something. "She's a lesbian"!

I have nothing wrong with homosexuality, I just think that its going to be kind of awkward. I came to the prom hoping to dance and maybe get some romance but how would it work with a lesbian!! i don't want to make her uncomfortable because from her point of view it would be like me dancing with another guy. Dancing with the wrong attracted sex!! I can't seem to find anyone else and the prom is in three weeks!! Am I overreacting or what?

My BF always tries to pick me up and I always would tell him not to because I am embarrassed. I am not very comfortable with my body and I am afraid he will think wow she is heavy.. I am a worrier yes and I am very sensitive..... Just a while ago he grabbed me and picked me up (I let him that time) but then he put me down and he gave me a weird look... He said he was going to take a shower but I just feel so dumb like he thinks differently now. What do you think I should do to just not let this bother me? thanks From a very sensitive girl...

My ex says that having the kids for the summers is not enough for him. He's suppose to get them for the summers, weekends and holidays but he is only able to get them for the summers because he lives far away. He thinks that by me volunteering to let him have the kids for the summers is not doing him any favors. He wants the kids for the school year as well even though I have primary custody. I feel that alot of fathers don't even get that and he should be grateful. I didn't have to give him the summers. What do yall think?

My boyfriend and I like to think we're in an equal-footed relationship, but he will finish school before me and begin his career while I'll still be struggling to get where I want to be in school.
Once we're both working in our careers, he'll be making at LEAST $10-$15 grand more than I will. I always wanted to be economically equal in a relationship.

Women who work fulltime yet make less than their husbands/boyfriends/patners--how do you feel about it? How does your partner feel about it?

Thanks!

I just got a phone number from the girl I like. I'm pretty sure she likes me too. We're friends but not really good friends. How long should I wait before I give her that first call and what are some good conversation ideas? Also is it good to have a conversation plan written on paper ready when I'm talkin to her?

I am falling in love for this girl, but she is only 15. Ive never loved any other girl before but this one is special, I love watching her play softball at the school. Her father is my brother-in-law and I take her out to lunch every day at school but he doesn't know about it. What do you think would happen if my brother-in-law found out? Do you think it would be alright if I made love to her? I dont think I will ever feel this strong about another female. What should I do? I know its illegal, but im more than willing to break the law over this matter.

I am separated from the father of my children. Although we are trying to be civil about it for the children, it has been less than 3 months since we separated, and he may be moving in with his new girlfriend. I have nothing against her, but she is not divorced from her husband yet and has 2 children. I've warned him that because my older son has learning disabilities and needs stability in his life and his brother is only 8 months old, that I will not allow overnight visits if he plans on moving in with her. If they married, then it's not my business, but I am concerned that both of them moving in together shows instability and a lack of independence on both of their parts. He debated that it "wouldn't be fair for him" but I'm not concerned with his fairness, only being fair to my children. The last thing I want is for them to get to know this woman and her kids, then he moves on to another girl within a few months. Will I need to hire a lawyer if this happens? Thanks.

Currently married and I am pushing to seperate then devorce in the long run. Can I just pack a suit case and leave? The spouse says that she will not sign a separation nor a devorce, probably becuase she thinks no one will ever want to be with her or something. I just need to get out of this lifestyle, three years of misery and losses. What will happen if I just leave and never come back?

I never have successful relationships...seems like I am the one giving all the time and could never find someone that wants to give back. I want a guy who is a little agressive on the sexual side, someone that is not scared to show me affection at all times and makes me feel sexy. Anyway, I am in high school. I am 18. I had my first "boyfriend" when I was 16. He was not affectionate so we broke up. Now there is this guy I like and we are not going out but I expect some sort of affection (we went on a date and going to prom together) well, he doesn't show any. He is just like my ex. Outgoing gone shy after he got with me. Why do guys change when they are with me? What is it that I do?

Am I doomed to be alone?
