My best friends brother is 20 years old. He has never had a girlfriend before and he hasn't started dating yet either. Her brother says he wants to get married to a girl and have a family someday. In high school he was always the one that worked on his education. Since he has never had a girlfriend before does that mean he will not get married and he is gay? Do you know anyone like him who is not gay?

one of my guy friends didn't start dating until he was 22 (he was always working on his education, too). now he and that first girlfriend are engaged to be married! some people don't care about dating the same way other people do... they want to be in a relationship, get married, start a family, but they're waiting for the right person. i stopped dating for over five years... i was done with the dating b.s. and just waited until i finally met someone i knew i'd like to be in a long-term relationship with. your friend's brother will have a lot to offer whoever he ends up in a relationship with, because he's worked hard at being smart and has waited for someone special instead of chasing random tail like most of his classmates probably did...

Oh, my. He is only 20 years old! Just because he hasn't had a girlfriend yet does not mean he will not get married and it certainly does not mean that he is gay.
I know plenty of people like him who are not gay - he just hasn't found the right person yet, or perhaps he is uncomfortable approaching women because he didn't have too much experience in high school.
He'll be fine, I'm sure - he's very young.
And if he's gay, so what?

My son is not gay and never has had a girlfriend either. He has a ton of female and male friends. He will someday when he finds the right one and when he feels ready for a commitment. He is 20 as well. I'm not worried and neither is he.

Just because he hasn't had a girlfriend doesn't mean that he's gay. He just hasn't find anyone right for him. Of course he'll get married when he finds the right lady. Everything will fall in place at the right time.

Just because he paid attention to his school work and wants to be someone doesn't mean he's gay. I mean when i was in high school my parents wanted me to get with my school work before i started dating. Of course i didn't listen and my grades actually went down. He was smart. He might of thought that if he started dating in school he might screw up. I know plenty of people like him and they all started dating after high school. He also may be shy. In time he'll find someone. Its sad though how people think when someone concentrates on their career they are gay

No, it doesn't mean he is gay (although maybe he is, that's for him to reveal if it's the case).
Not all people date in high school, and being 20 and not having dated is not an omen that he never will.
He'll date when he chooses to do so...when he decides to make a move and approach people he's attracted to...

That doesn't mean his gay. He has actually made the right choice by getting his education and becoming someone in life. A guy like that you want because he is thinking of his future. Someone like that will not struggle when older.

May or may not be gay. He will certainly find someone - gay or not. Some people just don't have the same needs for someone important in their life early on. Some never do. We are all different.

well ive never had a girlfriend before and im 18
ive had the offers i just didnt consider it worth the effort. most of my mates are up the wall with their girlfriends..and ive often thought why bother? you can still have a healthy sex life without the hassle of having a girlfriend to occupy your time and take up your personal space.
i also think that some guys just want a girlfriend for personal image and they tend to be horrible to them..whereas i just dont bother...so im kinda nice in that respect. theres no mind games with me.
