How synical you are......Monogamy is the way things were meant to be. If you are asking this question you have either A) never really been in love yet.....or B) been burnt and have put up walls to protect yourself.
Open marriage is never a good idea, why marry in the first place.
However until the day that you fall helplessly and totally in love with someone, I would not recommend monogamy. Play till you find the right one. Get it all out of your system. Then, when the one comes along....you will only want that person and that person only. Good luck

Yes, monogamy is still a good idea. If people were more willing to uphold their marriage vows, there would be less divorce. An open marriage is not a real marriage in my opinion.

Personally I prefer monogomy, I think it's a great idea providing two people can agree to be mutually exclusive and be genuine about it.
In saying this, not everybody is the same. I also think as long as there is honesty it doesn't matter whether a relationship is strictly exclusive. I would consider it immoral to base any relationship on a lie. If everybody involved knows the truth and consents to participate, then nobody is hurt and nobody is consenting to something they didn't agree to. That might be what some people choose and It can work if people tell the truth. Cheating happens when somebody is lied to, if nobody is lied to then there is no cheating.
The problems come when people lie. If they are honest it can all be so easily avoided.

Monogamy ....That special something only 2 people can share......Open relationships may work for some, but not for all...if you think you might be interested in something like that..please do research..and be certain you have the ability to be honest and trusting to your partner before you venture into such a field. You must lose all your inhibitions..jealousy can not exist....total trust, honesty and communication are the keys to a successful relationship whether monogamous or open...Good luck with your decision.

No, marriage is still the best plan, people just need to work harder on staying together. Sleeping around damages a lot of people, especially it's a good way to ruin your kids' lives.

I don't see an open marriage but would love to have 2 or 3 men on the side and even in me all at one time!

A relatrionship is more than just sex. If all you want is a person to screw, perhaps you are getting married for the wrong reasons
