I'm 34 in great shape and have a giving personality--which I consider a rare, positive quality. I have a job and graduated college in the top 10% of my class. I've tried every thing imaginable to increase my friendship network and dating prospects, including personals, dance clubs, bookstores, laundry mats, and just approaching strangers. I still can't get a date with a slim woman who has no kids and doesn't smoke. I've even considered relocating since I'm part Latino from Knoville, TN to a more progressive city like Atlanta. I can't afford to do that now. Is there a point when I should stop looking and accept that fact that there is something that is repelling people? I do have a larger than average nose...I think I look Italian or somewhat Arab--but surely this is not the reason--or is it? Being dateless makes it hard to feel like a man sometimes...any advice or even a friendship would be appreciated. I don't usually sound so desparate, but I am at wits end.

My good friend is getting married and since I can't make it to the wedding, I am trying desperately to think of something unique and personal to give her that isn't from her registry. I want to show her that I am thinking about her and I really want to get her something extra nice since I can't be there for her wedding. I'd prefer to buy something online.

Could this be difficult relationship wise. I don't know if his family would accept me. Has anyone had experience with this? Also wouldn't want to convert. I shoiuld just add that he is westernised and lives in London and doesn't wear their traditonal dress etc. Thank you.

Sorry for this puzzling question. In fact, I am 27 years old and I live in Morocco and as anyone of this age I should also have met the love of my life, but up to now I still spend days and nights alone or with my family members. I think that the notion of love doesn't exist in my society. Most girls here in my country get married with rich people ignoring totally the emotional side of this human gift. I think material love has come to replace the real spiritual love. Littlle we see marriage built on mutual love, only material interest are of more importance. This is the case of my country Morocco.

My grandmother has been taking care of my sister and brother and I, Since I was 6 yrs old. My grandmother had eight boys and one girl. The girl which was my mom died when I was very young. So my grandmother had to take care of all of us. She work 2 jobs 3 to 11 and 11 to 7 so I barely had conversations with her. I love her very much. But we hardly talk to each other i mean we talk but it's nothing like she come to me and start a conversation or me either. I don't know what to do i don't want our relationship like that. Sometimes she say she be scared to talk to me but I'm not a bad person. I don't know half the time what to say to her. I guess cause I'm not a talkive person I always been to myself. Only when I don't have anything to say. Now that she don't go to work as much as she use to it's like I'm in my room and she is in hers. I'm a fun person to be around alot of people like and enjoy my present. What should I do or say?

Me and my fiance are planning on just going to the courthouse and getting the marriage license, exchange vows and done, we'll do the whole ceremony a year later or so.

Anyway i was wondering if a courthouse wedding is the same as regular wedding?!
I mean does the bride still wear a white wedding dress, the groom wears his traditional tuxedo?
Who do you invite to a courthouse wedding? - Parents, sibling, grandparents, best friends?
And do you need witnesses for a courthouse wedding, if yes, how many?

ok heres how it goes.................... i dunno how manyth time ive posted all this on yahoo answers... but well i think its the only way,, ok the guy i like is in london since more than one n a half month...be4 he left we were best buds n i kinda started liking him.. wenhe left i was depressed not to see him for the longest time as we were ALWAYS on msg EVERYDAY.... now tht hes gone i miss him like crazy n cried my self to sleep.... since hes gone ive not heard from him.. NO NOTHING... i dunno whts he doing there or whtever....(ive mailed him 3rice n got no reply) hes not come online since a month... i thought ill clear out everythin today cuz its his birthday n i would call london.... it was my bad luck I GOT THROUGH a wrong no.... the next time i tried it said the no isnt in use.....i so had thought of everything from be4....n now tht the days gone like an ordinary day thinkin n cryin i dont mind mailing him WISHING and sorting stuff....but itll hurt me even more i he doesnt reply
