It's important, trust me on this one. Don't listen to the insane liberals who think that's it's not important, or that you can somehow have sex and relations without being married. They all belong in mental hospitals.

Their way has been proven to not work, yet they continue with it. They have sort of sick solution for non-marital relations, such as abortion on demand and quick fixes for STD's, ect. Now they want to waste all sorts of money on AIDS.

Marriage is the institution for a man and a woman, and here a family can be formed. It all has to do with giving up selfishness and becoming responsible.

Non-marital relations are just the opposite and are founded upon selfishness, lust, irresponsibliity and doing what feels good, according to the liberal code of insanity.

For a person whose goal is to have a fulfilling relationship with a person, the marriage is important. Actually, I think that commitment is more important than marriage (the legal kind). You need to be committed emotionally before you can commit to a person legally. The legal marriage is somewhat given more importance than it really is. If you think about it, just because you have signed a piece of paper does not make you any more committed to a person a second before you sign that piece of paper. So commitment is more important than a legal marriage along with the white dress and the wedding party.

Marriage is a sacramental union between man and woman, and to start a family. It's important if you want to spend the rest of your life with one another to have kids and be with the one you love. You can have relations without being married. Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon, Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, and Don Cheadle and his wife aren't married, but they have relations and kids. Maybe they don't believe in marriage.

I have tried several times to answer this question but all of my responses were just so inadequate...

All I can tell you is how I feel...

The "Dave" that existed before I was married, a vague and distant memory, and I don't miss him at all. I revel in being married.

There is no more beautiful word to me than "Wife"

Of all of the titles that people may apply to me, none fill me with more pride than "Husband"

My marriage IS my religion.

There is nothing, NOTHING in this world that I would not sacrifice for my wife or our marriage. And there is no one, not even Scarlett Johanson (and that is one damn attractive woman) that could tempt me from the grace of my wife.

The love I felt for her the day I married her is puppy love compared to what I feel for her now.

When I am sick she tends to me, when I fall she lifts me, and when I am burdened she carries the load.

So... how much of that to you see in just a male / female relation?

We live in a throw away world. We toss out trash that should be recycled, we toss out kids who should be loved, we toss out our elderly, we toss out our handicapped, we even toss out our unborn. Yet thankfully deep inside, when the possibility to get into a relationship that has a chance at being thrown away, something snaps, and we say "wait a minute, this is wrong". We still desire to be loved with the promise it will last forever. No, it's not just in the fairy tales. This is a real concept. It's just our generation that has a bizarre quirk to it. Marriage is more than just an institution. It's a sacred institution. Should always be.

Marriage is the union of two people who are in love and want to be together for the rest of their lives, wants to start a family and build a home. Sex without a marriage is just a way to disrespect yourself.

Marriage is a total committment to each other which is mutually satisfying in every which way and there's no need to include anyone or anything in this union.

How do you ensure you partner responsibility, commitment, loving care, protection, honesty, etc. without getting married?

And how about your children, do you think they can live better without legal father-mother care, protection and responsibility?

And how about love? Don't you want to have true love, not only sexual desire to your partner?

Think about it, and take care.
