Security - July 2007

i'm worried about my paypal security. all thats required is my email address and password to send money from my account. if my details are captured by keyloggers, i may lose a lot of money. i'm already using AVG and Spyware doctor.

i'm wondering if there's another layer of security thats already in place or applicable for me?

I used F8 & signed in as Administrator Applied changes clicked ok and same message came up must be administrator, do i need professional to sort it out?

but all they do is scan. once i want them to delete the bad things they find, it says that i have to pay to get the full version (which will then delete these). are there any free programs that will delete the spyware (or cookies or whatever) that it finds?

My computer was infected with a bad virus not too long ago, and when my dad took the computer in to get it fixed, he asked the one of the guys how they do it. And he said it's a secret. Is there some secret to fixing computers that only super nerds know?

I scan my PC with Norton everyday at the end of the day, and every time I find a cookie (It says "tracking cookie") which Norton deletes. But the next day when I run the scan again I find that its back there! (I assume its the same one)
Is there a way to prevent it from getting in my PC?

Do I just install an anti virus protection thing like I do on a PC or should a MAC have some sort of virus protection thing with it? I'm new to a MAC and want to make sure I keep it virus free :)

If someone emails me and I email them back, could they get stuff like my address, phone number, city/state where I live possibly even my bank account info and SS#? Some idiot has been sending me emails and I have no idea who he is. I've emailed him and asked him to leave me alone several times but he won't! I hope I didn't make a mistake by emailing him back...What should I do! I'm more worried about him hacking into my computer or something...HELP!!

I am alomst positive that some1 has put a spyware program on my PC, (jealous spouse whom I am divorcing) but he access to the PC when he is here w/ the children, I know he has done it before, but I dont know how to find it. It'll be the type that he can view all webpages I have visited, including email, and pages with security locked accounts.. HELP!!
