I have about 10 i reckon, i think of things on my desk, what i intend to be doing and the good old cliche of picking peoples names!

I bet they are really easy to guess too!

Hi,
when I start my computer, My Documents will be opened automatically instead of Desktop first.
An application file is created of the same name as of Folder and places there.
When I click on that app file, My Document opens up.
Right click on that file is disabled and the Folder Options too.
I thought that its WinIME or something like that. So, I hit CTRL+ALT+DEL to view the running applicaitons, but it has disabled that too. So, I'm in big deep **** coz I'm not being able to know the virus name.
Can anyone plz help me out??

1.Any Intrusion Detection Systems(IDS) that are available in the market now.If possible say some of the disadvantages of them.
2.where do IDS works- in local host network or outside ?
3.Any IEEE volumes that abstracts IDS and/or its problems/advantages?

It is a bit darker than usual, and has some greenish colour at the top. I found no viruses or adware.

Hi! I am responsible at my work to keep servers clean and protected against viruses. I have Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition and I keep it updated by installing the most recent Virus Definitions. But I am facing a big trouble. EXPERT advice/help is urgently required for following:

1. The viruses keep coming and they creat .eml files in all folders.
2. The AV quarantines all infected files and creates .vbn files in thousands in Quarantine folder. They occupy huge space (sometime as much as 5GB).

Can you please tell me:

1. How can i restrict .eml files from being written
2. Is there a way to stop .vbn files from being written/created?

I recently received an email from a "barrister" in Ghana, Africa who says that I share the same last name as a millionaire from his country who died in a car accident with his wife and child awhile back. This lawyer says that I can inherit millions if I just take a trip down there and submit the bank some information. I've heard of this sort of scam before, but could it be real, or has someone here received an email like this before that turned out to be false?

My system has been attacked with spywares, malwares, and ad wares. internet explorer is behaving very badly. ALREADY I HAVE TRIED ''WINDOWS DEFENDER , SPYBOT, SYSTEM MECHANIC AND AD-ADWARE SE PERSONAL'' BUT NO USE, STILL ADS R COMING , POP UP WINDOWS BY OUTER INFO ETC. Please suggest me some good tool/software which can help me effectively and the place from where to download it, bcoz right now speed is badly effected. it takes almost 15 minutes to re start the system.
