I am having two hard disk in my machine. One hard is having opearating system as Windows XP and another one is having Windows 2000 Server.

During boot up of machine I choose from which hard disk, have to boot my machine. If i boot my machine from my 1st hard disk then it is showing data of another hard disk with drives of another hard disk like C:\, D:\ E:\, J:\.k:\

1st Hard Disk : C:\ , D:\, E:\, OS = Windows XP
2nd Hard Disk : C:\, D:\, E:\, F:\, J:\, K:\, OS = Windows Server 2000

I am wondering how it is happening. Once it is happening then keeping 2 hard disks in my machine no use. If virus comes in 1st hard disk then it will move very easily to another hard disk.

Could you guide me how to stop reading of data of another hard disk in one hard disk?

it wont let me do system restore.it pops up ads anytime it wants to closes stuff,adds stuff to my desktop and changed my time to military time.all the scans people send me to run all scan and find problems but then wants me to buy it for it to fix it.i cant buy anything.any help please i cant get on it at all.it has been days.thanx to any help.

I select the real time scan and then close the window and theres no icon. same thing happens when I minimize it. It dosent even show up as a process

i opened a folder that was hidden on my PC, a pop-up appeared and asked me to choose an encoding to make the document readable. i randomly chose an encoding.the file opened but the Fonts where not readable. why is this so? And How can i make a document readable by only me?

There is a virus going around in emails!! If you have had an email or have an email that the subject is "your life is beautiful" DO NOT OPEN!!! it is a virus for whoever created it that they get ur emails , passwords, addresses and other infomation on your computer!!! if you don't belive me go to yahoo.com type in the search bar "your life is beautiful" and go to the one from about.com Just thought i would warn ya!!!

Will that lessen the effects and damage a cookie potentially could do? Is it a good idea to delete them as soon as possible and delete email as soon as possible? Do the cookies get stronger if you don't?

I have lots of programs running in the background, around 40 by looking at the list, i'm sure there leeching my computers resources but not too sure if i need them all, probably don't.

So can you please advise? tips? tricks? good programs to manage this list? or means to get rid of them? some just keep on coming back! like win update! i hate this! and all the rest.

So any suggestion how i can get this down to the absolute minimum?

My computer was recently ifected with this virus that advertises all of these ads for virus and spam protection. The pop ups are the same 3 pop ups everytime. Now McAfee is telling me that there is a tojan found called; " Puper.dll" and it can't be cleaned. How can I fix this?

I use Firefox to browse with Mcafee internet security suite 2006. Could anyone advise on a free top anti spyware/adware download that can be set up very easily to scan on a weekly basis on it's own and I would rather not use spybot or lavasoft adaware......any ideas?

I've asked everyone I know about a complete format of my hard drive but I get a run around. I have strange pop up window apppeaing on my desktop , which shows some kind of virus alert. My norton antivirus is all update and I have several pop up blocker too. But surprisingly its getting through everything what I have on my computer. Its popping up again and again on my dektop everytime I close it and show some kind of advetisement of some other antivirus when I click on it. I don’t know how to get rid of it. Please help.
