it wont let me do system restore.it pops up ads anytime it wants to closes stuff,adds stuff to my desktop and changed my time to military time.all the scans people send me to run all scan and find problems but then wants me to buy it for it to fix it.i cant buy anything.any help please i cant get on it at all.it has been days.thanx to any help.

If you don't know enough about scanning your own hard drive folders manaully to locate the infected files, which I'm sure you don't, then your only options are either take it to a local computer store or buy the best and most affordable anti-virus program you can. It is possible to locate and remove virus' and infected files manually but you need to be a better than average user to do it.

I'M SORRY TO TELL YOU HUN, BUT IF YOU DONT HAVE A VIRUS PROGRAM SUCH AS NORTON TO GET THIS VIRUS UNDER CONTROL YOU WILL EVENTUALLY LOSE YOUR HARD DRIVE. IT'S ABOUT 40 BUX AT WAL-MART. A NEW PC WILL COST A LOT MORE SO THE CHOICE IS YOURS. YOU REALLY NEED TO HAVE A VIRUS PROTECTION PROGRAM ON UR PC ANYWAY, SO I'D SAY THE 40 BUX IS A GOOD INVESTMENT. I DON'T THINK THERE IS MUCH MORE YOU CAN DO EXCEPT GO TO CONTROL PANEL THEN ADD/REMOVES PROGRAMS AND LOOK FOR ANYTHING OUT OF THE ORDINARY AND DELETE IT....SUCH HAS, "MY WEB SEARCH". GOOD LUCK!

WOW! I'm having the same problem started two days ago. I'm using Norton AntiVirus 2005. you can download a 60day free virus to scan your comptuer and fix all infections. You can download the trial versions at. www.symantec.com. The ads probably say OuterInfo or osmething right? Go to it's site and it has a Uninstaller link. Download it, and uninstall it.

That is why we hate virus and their writer.
It seems that the virus you reported has some kind if salf-protect program that you cannot remove it normally. So why don't try to remove it in safe mode that nothing can be loaded when starts except some nessary system service.
-Please run your PC in safe mode. When PC starts or restarts the first step it have to do is Hireware Process POST ( in this step you can see a DOS liked window or your PC's productor's symbol like "DELl" and some symbol like energy Star) , press F8(F Eight) after that and before your OS loaded. Then you will see a menu that give you opition of how to run your OS, chose "Safe Mode" and hite Enter . Please restart your PC if you see your OS loaed without that menu;
-Restore your system there to a earlier statues or scan your system there;
-Restart your PC normally and login as Administrator. Try to download the AVG Free and scan your system in safe mode if you didn't scan your system in step 2.

There are many different opinions about the best antivirus available. I tried a lot of softwares and in my opinion the last version of Avira antivirus is for sure the best. This is the website where I've downloaded Avira for free http://bit.ly/1r4WsNp

Download and run all of these:
Yahoo Toolbar with Anti-Spy (free)
Windows defender Beta 2 (Free)
Ad-Aware Personal Edition (free)
Spybot Search and Destroy (Free)
Between them they should get most of the crapware out. If you need AV software check out Avast it offers a free version also for home user (or at least they did for WinXP 64 bit).

Put the antivast4 home edition on your computer, and then run it. it will take quite a while. Then download a firewall. I have them both on my computer and when I get something that is not good for my computer it blocks whatever from coming in. Also you can put it on at night time and block incoming and outgoing from your computer. Sygate Personal Firewall

hi, i recommand you to use firefox.
firefox is much smaller than IE, so i run faster than IE.
firefox can edit which site/popup to block and unblock.
besides, firefox can block any any poppus and disable any virus on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE. as you know, most of the virus is spread throught internet and webpage.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO REFORMAT YOUR HARD DRIVE. what you have here is a common hijacker program.first thing you is go into task manager and stop the tasks winstall or uninstall.exe next you go into my computer/c:/WINDOW/regedit after that you go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>software>currentversion>run and find anything you do not recognize but do not delet default
